Rap star Eminem lied to his fans about life growing up on a trailer park, according to his mother. The Without Me hit-maker shot to fame singing about his childhood in a poor area of Detroit, Michigan. But the star's mother Debbie Nelson refutes the claims in her tell-all book My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem.
She says, "After his first album, Infinite, flopped, he reinvented himself as white trailer trash with a crazy welfare mom. I was shocked when I first heard the lyrics... but he constantly reassured me it was all a big joke... I went along with it for Marshall's sake."
