Bobby Brown is convinced he'll win country talent show Gone Country, and is already planning to ditch soul music for a new career. The star will join Carnie Wilson and Julio Iglesias Jr. when the show airs in January. And host John Rich believes Brown has an edge over his rivals.
He says, "Bobby said, 'Country and soul come from the same place - they're just different neighborhoods.' He reminds me of the hard-core country artists back in the day. They played hard, worked hard, sang hard."

besides, can you really picture hundreds of his fans who used to grow up with hits like 'every little step i take' and 'don't be cruel' buying copies of his LP? i doubt that very much. i'm sorry but the guy is a ****

Bobby hasn't been musically relevant in 15 years, why not just stay retired?

does anyone else here remember a time when Bobby Brown was good? pre-Whitney.
"Don't Be Cruel" was a rather good album, I had it on tape when I was a kid but never really gave it two thoughts to upgrade to CD. That album was jampacked with hits that were all over the radio in 88-89 like Every Little Step, My Prerogative, Roni and the title track. It's so easy to marginalize and make fun of him for his behavior over the past decade and change, but there was a brief moment in time where he was the Justin Timberlake of his day. He just never really matched the music he had in the late 80's again, although "Humpin' Around" from 92 was good.

musically, he was good and he had a couple of good hits- its such a shame though his irratic behaviour overshadowed his pop accomplishments. his collaboration with murder inc didn't set his career alight did it? plus, 'thug lovin' was a terrible record

I just got a picture of him in denim overalls, with a red gingham shirt, work boots, a straw hat and a piece of straw hanging from his mouth with those stupid graduated sunglasses on!
The only Bobbi Brown I want to hear from anymore is the one with the makeup. ;)

LOL@Bobby Brown wants to do country music hahahahahahahahahahaha. What a joke. He hasn't made a album in 10 years. Who in the hell is gonna buy a country album from him? Hahahahahahahahahahaha. I'm a fan of his solo music and New Edition music. I wondered why he stopped doing solo albums because i like all of his solo albums. It's a shame his personal life is messed up because he can sing and dance.
