Superstation WGN and Tribune Company just went under new ownership yesterday. Some changes could be on the way...

Sam Zell did say the other day he wants to make the station "much more successful," "better," and "bigger."

It is still called the Tribune Company, but they have just been brought by Sam Zell. Previously, they were a publicaly-traded company.

Tribune owns many newspapers such as The Chicago Tribune, and the LA Times, and several local TV stations such as KTLA and WPIX.

Zell hopes to turn around their financial troubles, so there could be many changes coming. The first change he is making is to sell the Chicago Cubs, which is currently owned by Tribune.
