Now In College

This is a new dramatic sitcom based on the Disney Channel's Movies "High School Musical" and "High School Musical 2" with the same characters and cast members, but this time they are starting out as freshman in college. Troy, Gabriella, Chad, Taylor, Zeke, Sharpay, and Ryan are now college freshmans at Woods-Gallagher University. The dormitaries at Woods-Gallagher University are divided between the girls dormitory, Somerbrook Hall; and the boys dormitory, Ashlensen Hall. As luck would have it, the friends are paired up and have become dormmates. At Somerbrook, Gabriella, Taylor, and Sharpay are to share a three-person suite. At Ashlensen, Troy and Ryan are roommates, as are Chad and Zeke. The seven friends still remain close-knit and friends, yet will college help or hurt their such close friendships and relationships. Gabriella and Troy are still happily dating each other, as Taylor and Chad decide to "take a break" and "see where college takes them" (yet still civil and friends with the other). Ryan, Sharpay, and Zeke are still single.

Episodes

Ep1: Pilot Episode:
The gang gets settled into their dorms at Woods-Gallagher University, and meeting the other co-eds, and figuring out their class schedules. Troy becomes slightly jealous that Chad and Zeke are paired up for roommates, and he's with Ryan--yet tries to make the best of it after seeing how Ryan overheard his phone conversation with Gaby about his living arrangements. Meanwhile, Taylor and Chad make a pact that their current "status" will not affect their friendship now.

Ep2: Here To Help:
One of the university's counselors, Miss Haven (Tina Fey) holds a "Welcome Ceremony" where she welcomes the new freshman class and shares that she is there to help out in any way. During the ceremony, Ryan's angst about living with a semi-unhappy Troy, takes a toll on Ryan's relationship with his sister, Sharpay. Later, Sharpay finds out and sets out to have a talk with Troy in her brother's defense, which just upsets Ryan more. Meanwhile, Gabriella and Taylor sign up to be volunteer helpers in Miss Haven's counseling office, which causes the two to be jokingly made fun of by Chad and Zeke for "already being brown-nosers".

Ep3: First Day Of Classes:
The gang prepare for their first official college classes. Zeke, Gabriella, and Ryan become overly overwhelmed with homework in their Mythological Studies class, as Troy and Taylor bond one-on-one during their first college lecture. Elsewhere, Chad and Sharpay are seated by the uber-confident and very athletic hunk, Dylan Chambers (Andy Lawrence), who shares a common interest in sports and weightlifting with Chad, and form an instant infatuation with Sharpay (and vice versa).

Ep4: Meeting New People:
Chad, along with Troy and Zeke, are invited to hangout with Dylan and his buddies, where the three guys are accepted into "their little circle of friends". Sharpay, Ryan, and Taylor are befriended by one of the most popular girls, Nikki Baldwin (Hilary Duff), who gives the trio the scoop about the student body and the truths and myths of the college life at WGU. Elsewhere, Gabriella meets and becomes friends with classmate, Josh Palmer (David Henrie), and the two hangout and get to know each other while studying in the library.

Ep5: Where's The Party At?:
Dylan's frathouse is throwning it's annual homecoming bash, where Dylan invites Chad, Troy, Zeke, and Gaby as his guests. As Nikki invites Sharpay, Taylor, and Ryan along to same party as her guests. The gang experiences their first college frathouse party. Sharpay bumps into Dylan at the party, who introduces her to numerous shots. A drunken Troy gets flattered when a girl flirts with him at the party, which is overseen by an upset Gaby, which pushes her to join Sharpay with the shots. "The King and Queen of Sobreity", Zeke and Taylor, have a blast together without drinking and watching Nikki and Ryan as they unsoberly rock out the karaoke machine. The next morning, the gang is hungover (except Taylor and Zeke), and Troy apologizes and makes amends with a still-hurt Gabriella.

Ep6: Past Experiences:
The gang gets wind of Nikki and Dylan's hookup from beginning of freshman year at WGU. The girls learn how Nikki is still a bit bitter towards Dylan and his selfish, pigheaded ways, as the guys learn the "play-by-play" about his night with Nikki from Dylan. After hearing Dylan brag about him and Nikki's hooking up, Troy becomes curious and questions Gaby about the topic of having sex, which Gaby confesses to not feeling ready yet, as a semi-secretly eager Troy agrees to deciding to wait. Meanwhile, Ryan really connects with his new lab partner, Shelly Brunner (Ellary Porterfield). Shelly asks Ryan out on a date, he accepts, but the date doesn't necessarily go as well as Shelly would've liked - especially when Ryan comes to a realization and comes out (of the closet) to Shelly.

Ep7: Crushed:
Still reeling from her big let-down from being crushed by Ryan, Shelly becomes mortified and embarrassed, thus causing her uncomfortable awkwardness when she's forced to be paired up with Ryan as her lab partner. Ryan tries to do everything in his power to make her feel better, and at same time convince Shelly to keep it a secret until he's ready. Across the room, Gabriella can't help herself as she begins to find herself having a slight crush on her new friend and lab partner, Josh. Thus complicating her relationship with Troy, who ends up ditching Chad and Zeke to hangout with Dylan.

Ep8: The Misunderstood Stand Tall:
During the college's annual pep rally, Shelly -the freshman class representative- makes a speech congratulating the college's cross country team, but not before she leaves the podium on stage does Shelly decides to make a surprise public announcement her mockingly congradulating Ryan Evans for coming out of the closet. In the audience, Ryan becomes stunned and shocked that Shelly went back on her word and betrayed him. Sharpay, Chad, Taylor, Gaby, Zeke, Troy, and Nikki meet up afterwards at Ryan and Troy's dorm room, where Ryan comes cleans and forcingly comes out to his sister and friends. Afterwards in private, Troy and Chad must face their own prejudices and be supportive of their friend in his time of need. Later that same night while Ryan decides to take a walk and clear his head, he runs into Shelly, who he wants to know why she did that and then gives her a piece of his mind before walking away--which then leaves Shelly to come to realize what she really has done and becomes teary-eyed and tries to apologize to him but it's too late (he's gone).

Ep9: Know Where You Came From:
Chad, Taylor, and Zeke attend their African American History class, where Chad meets the mysterious beauty, Erin Woods (Lyndsy Fonseca)--the only white student in class. Chad and Erin hangout after class together, which results in Chad starting to become interested in Erin. Elsewhere, Gabriella and Josh's hanging out together is spotted by Troy and Dylan, which thanks to Dylan, Troy becomes jealous and walks up to them, making a scene and "forbidding" the two to ever talk to each other again. Meanwhile, Sharpay and Nikki decide to throw Ryan a coming out party in his honor.

Ep10: The Party Of All Parties:
Nikki and Sharpay's Coming Out Party for Ryan turns out to be a huge success. Except for Gabriella and Troy still arguing over Gaby's platonic friendship with Josh. Taylor finds herself a little bit jealous when Chad brings Erin to the party. At the party, Dylan decides to stir up some drama, as he begins to his promscious posse of girls, who begin to entice Troy and Zeke. Taylor, Sharpay, and Nikki step up and try to convince Zeke that the girls who are supposively "interested" in him are only interested in "part of him". Also, an extremely drunken and still angry Troy decides to hangout with Dylan and the girls to take his mind of Gaby and Josh. Gabriella witnesses Troy cuddled up with two other girls, and decides to seek "revenge" and call Josh to come over to the party to join her.

Ep11: Prince Of Disaster:
With his relationship with Gaby slowly crumbling, Troy decides to hangout with Dylan and his girls more and more--even cancelling his anniversary date with Gaby, who in return, decides to hangout with Josh more. Ryan is reunited with Shelly once again, Ryan shocks Shelly as he thanks her to outting him. Shelly becomes perplexed and even more confused. Sharpay, Taylor, Zeke, and Nikki hang out with Chad and Erin at Erin's apartment off campus. While puking in the bathroom at Erin's, Taylor comes across a stash of marijuana stuck behind Erin's toliet.

Ep12: Taylor And The Tailor:
Taylor informs Sharpay, Gaby, and Nikki about finding marijuana behind Erin's toliet, and she realizes she can't tell Chad herself, because he will think she is just jealous and lying. Meanwhile, as he begins to get fitted for his tuxedo for his cousin's wedding, Troy begins to have his suscipions about his tailor being a little bit "touchy-feely" than he is suppose to, and sends a reluctant Zeke in to see if it is just him or is the tailor a bit more friendly than he should be. Elsewhere, Dylan receives some horrible news that his mother (Wendie Malick) is diagnosed with breast cancer and has only four months to live.

Ep13: The Infamous Hot Tub Trick:
Sharpay, Taylor, Nikki, and Ryan team up and decide to transform Gabriella to lose her "good girl" image for one night and fight back for the man she loves--Troy. While relaxing in the hot tub, Troy becomes confused why Chad and Erin left him out on the desk alone in the hot tub-- until he sees a 'newly transformed' Gaby emerge from the house. Gaby entices and seduces Troy back into her life, especially after they consummate their relationship for the first time, while relaxing in the hot tub. Afterwards, Troy and Gaby (both now de-virginized) are happily back together and now forgiven the other. After the party, Erin seduces Chad into taking her out on a buzz run (driving country roads while car fills up with marijuana smoke). Chad and Erin both get stoned and go on buzz run, then later end up at Erin's apartment and also, consummate their relationship of one month.

Ep14: The Wonder Called Life:
Gabriella begins to wonder whether she and Troy consummating their relationship was such a good idea. Meanwhile, Dylan becomes the talk on campus after a former girlfriend, Chloe (Shenae Grimes) shows up with news that she may be pregnant with his child. The jerk that he is, Dylan harshly denies ever sleeping with her right in front of a large group of people, causing Chloe to become extremely upset and frustrated. Nikki, who has witnessed Dylan's comment to Chloe, comforts and consoles a devastated Chloe and tells her that she will talk with Dylan for her. Elsewhere, Chad and Erin's newfound "relationship" ceates a spark of jealousy in Taylor, who is advised by Sharpay and Ryan to re-enter the dating field.

Ep15: Grow Up or Shut Up:
Nikki holds up her promise to Chloe and sets out to talk with Dylan, who is anything but pleased to hear about the topic--especially from a "goody-goody" like Nikki. Dylan and Nikki get into a huge argument over the matter (and the dislike for each other), but minutes after the fight got really heated, Chloe shows up at Dylan's dorm with news of her pregnancy being a false alarm (and she's not having his baby, or a baby in general). A now-happy and relieved Chloe becomes confused by Dylan and Nikki's lost-of-interest about the original topic and now-focused on their ongoing hatred for each other, as Nikki storms out of Dylan's dorm. Meanwhile, Troy and Zeke become perplexed when Chad chooses getting high with Erin over playing basketball with them.

Ep16: Thanksgiving Break:
Everyone is preparing to go back home for Thanksgiving break, but an early winter snowstorm storms the gang in on campus. Dylan, Ryan, Troy, Zeke, Erin, and Chad get snowed in at Erin's apartment, where Dylan plans to blackmail Erin after finding her stash of pot unless he can get to smoke it with her--leading to her, Chad, and Dylan smoking it along with first-timers Ryan and Troy---whereas Zeke stays reluctant to give in to peer pressure. Sharpay, Taylor, Gabriella, Nikki, and Shelly are stuck in the girls' dormitory, where Sharpay finally begins to forgive Shelly for outting Ryan, and where Taylor tries to coax what was said between Nikki and Dylan from a still-upset Nikki. Gabriella becomes upset when she can't reach Troy (due to lack of service during storm), but while glancing out the window at the storm, she witnesses someone with a familiar face (Josh) stranded outside the girls' dorm. Gaby rushes down to let a near-frozen Josh into the warm building, then she offers him a hot shower to thaw out and get the blood flowing again. But Gaby ends up getting her own blood flowing when she has to end up helping a near-hypotherma stricken Josh get out of his wet, cold clothing, which leads to a sensual kiss between the two friends (which ends up being overseen by Sharpay and Taylor).

Ep17: Think You Know Someone:
Chad becomes unsure of Dylan's true intentions after he catchs Dylan hanging out at Erin's apartment more and more. Meanwhile, Ryan and Zeke share "thanksgiving break stories" with Sharpay and Taylor--including the guys getting high, Zeke's standing up for himself, Sharpay forgiving Shelly, Nikki telling about her fight with Dylan, and Gaby's passionate kiss with Josh. Meanwhile, Troy's romantic advances and signs of affection make Gabriella become extremely guilt-ridden and turned off by Troy, leading him believe he did something wrong. Troy, feeling guilty about not tell Gaby that he smoked pot with the guys and Erin, decides to come clean and make his confession to an appalled Gabriella, who decides to not confess her secret kiss with Josh to Troy just yet. Elsewhere, Josh oversees Gaby and Troy talking in the distance, and mistakes their conversation for Gaby breaking up with Troy. Josh decides to send his new love, Gaby, a boutique of her favorite flowers and a teddy bear with a note attached to it. However, at the end of the episode, instead of Gabriella recieving the gift from the delivery-man, it was none other than Troy, who now is confused and wants to know the truth.
