The Families Of Ben Martin

Starring Will Ferrell as Ben Martin, a 40-year-old happily married father of two living in his Chicago hometown, who must deal with his own family plus his sister, brother-in-law, and brother as well. Ben and his loving and supportive wife, Sarah Martin (Kate Walsh) have two growing, beautiful daughters: the 15-year-old drama queen, Haley Martin (Miley Cyrus) and the 10-year-old precocious, Natalie Martin (Ryan Newman). Haley is a ninth grader (a freshman in high school), as Natalie is a fourth grader. Sarah is a stay-at-home mom, as Ben co-owns the local pizzeria with his best friend and brother-in-law, John Tamblyn (Will Arnett). Ben's flaky sister, Trish Tamblyn (Leigh-Allyn Baker) and brother-in-law, John live across town, and are very close-knit with Ben, Sarah, and the girls. Trish and John are personally struggling with the current fact that they can't naturally conceive a child, after two years of trying and trying, and dealing with the frustrations along with that dilemma. Ben and Trish's kid brother, Andy (Andy Samberg) who's personally content of living his life so far selfishly, irresponsibly, and being a bit of a slacker. Andy has just returned back to Chicago after taking off and living out in California for the past four years to "find the true Andy". Now, Andy is back and is living in the basement at Trish and John's house until he gets back onto his feet. Watch how the Martin family deals with the everyday trials and tribulations of life.

Ep1: Pilot Episode:
Ben and Sarah see their girls off to their first day of school, much to Haley and Natalie's dismays. Ben and Sarah come home happy and decide to celebrate over a few beers and having "7 hours kids-free", but that becomes interrupted with John and Trish's coming over, along with Andy's sad attempt at borrowing money from Ben and Sarah again.

Ep2: Shut Up And Just Kiss Me Already:
Ben attempts to make their anniversary the best one ever after hearing Sarah reminding him of the past anniversaries which weren't up to par. Sarah loves Ben's enthusiasm, but is truly surprised with the end result. Meanwhile, Haley turns to Trish for advice about a guy she likes. Meanwhile, John confides in Andy about his and Trish's troubles of conceiving (which upsets and embarrasses Trish when she finds out Andy knows).

Ep3: Girls Weekend:
Sarah is gone for a weekend with her girlfriends, Mallory (Judy Greer) and Kristy (Julia Campbell); Mallory is the one with the "cool" fiancee who Ben likes hanging out with, and Kristy is the one who Ben often butts heads and shares a love/hate relationship with. Haley refuses to talk to Ben after Ben eavesdrops on her phone conversations and gets caught, and Natalie needs helps with a science project due Monday of which Ben makes a good attempt at trying to help her. Elsewhere, Andy suggests Trish and John look into checking out a fertility specialist.
