Seriously, I'm having trouble thinking of one. Let me know if you can.

I would say TBS. They remain the same and are loyal to their shows Mama's Family, Saved by the Bell, Seinfeld, Everybody loves Raymond, Yes Dear. Although Mama is gone I do wish that they would get it back.Although they add new shows they don't dismiss the old ones. I love watching Seinfeld on TBS.

"Jumped the Shark"?

It means you think that channel has gone significantly downhill, and most people seem to think that about almost every cable channel right now.

ABC Family is still pretty good, and is actually a lot better at this point then it was even 3 or 4 years ago, and it's a LOT better then it was in it's early days, or when it was Fox Family.

other then that, besides like, The Weather Channel and The History Channel, none come to mind.

The Weather Channel??
LOL! My Weather Channel "Jumped The Shark" years ago. They tell me it's 50 degrees out, but when I go outside it's a high of 68. And NONE of the networks have the exact same temperature. I don't know who to believe anymore.

I don't think TNT "Jumped The Shark." It's been "The network for drama" for what, ten years now? It was getting close to "jumping" with the daily 17 Law & Order reruns, but they've died down in the last year or so. Now if only they cut back on Charmed...

TCM is the only one I can think of. Most of the rest have veered away from the original intent, some for good, some for bad.

The Weather Channel??
not really. Whenever I turn it on it has those stupid documentaries about tornados and stuff. Just give me the weather.

I'd have to agree with ABC Family. They have always stayed true to airing modern classic sitcoms, no matter what year it was. They've also branched out their sitcoms into the mornings, which was a huge step up. Although lately, I've been watching less and less, I'd say they're really close to jumping.

Yeah, the Weather Channel-LOL. I rarely go there for my weather update. They seem to air the weather listings (which are about 10 degrees off every day) from 10am-2pm, then the rest of the day weather specials. Sure, they want to get ratings too, but I'll bet more people would watch if they'd actually just give us the weather!

ANd to whoever said TBS, I'd have to strongly disagree with you. Sure, they've kept sitcoms, but they have about half the variety then they did in the 90's. Not only that, but half their shows suck, and they're primetime lineup always consists of Seinfeld, ELR, and Friends. Anyone remember the days when they were airing the hits of all eras all day long?

I dont find that Discovery has gone downhill at all......on the other hand, I think its been 5 years since I watched A&E, at one time, my very favorite channel on TV, period!

OH GOD YES! Who the hell finds watching tornados interesting? Really now. That is so damn boring. That is like watching paint dry. What is next? A camera that captures earthquakes waiting to occur?

Just like you Sonny, JUST GIVE ME THE WEATHER DAMNIT!!!!

AMC don't consider a movie made three to five years ago to be a classic. USA with all the reruns of law and order and its many spin offs the only thing saving it is wrestling. SCI FI been going down hill for five years. The reason cable channels are jumping the shark is because they are all owned by either the big three or Ted Turner no room for the independent stations. The 80s and 90s can be considered the golden years of cable.

As far as channels that don't go overboard w/ crunching/split-screening the closing credits for more stupid promos go:

FX - they seldom crunch the closing credits and do not go overboard w/ cruching/split-screening the closing credits for more countless stupid promos.

Toon Disney - so they brought in cartoons that aren't outright owned by their parent company? At least they're waaaaay better than what Cartoon Network is these days w/ their countless crappy anime shows. Plus, they're one of the very few channels that have very rarely EVER crunched/split-screened closing credits to their show in favor of more annoying stupid promos.

I'd also say that any channel that was on hard-to-get cable/satellite service that goes over to regular cable has jumped.

Well, to be honest with you, I'd rather watch the documentaries (some are really cool) than seeing the same weather listings all day. I mean, really, who watches the Weather Channel at 2 or 3 in the afternoon? You're too lazy if you won't get up the strength to go to a window or poke your head outside the front door to see what the weather is like. In the mornings, the listings are great, so that you can see what the day's gonna be like, but any other time...really, why bother?

Sorry, but i got to disagree because FX has got those very noisy digital on-screen graphics.

Now as far as a cable channel that has NOT jumped the shark yet, despite the recent criticism here I gotta say TVOne.

Because if you travel for work or pleasure, you would like to see on television for a quick weather report. It is easier than having to turn on your computer, wait for it to warm up, etc. The Weather Channel is not a channel meant to sit and watch, it was meant for a quick weather report either local or across the U.S. If I go out of town for three days, I want to see what the weather is like in that town so I can prepare proper clothing, etc.

The Weather Channel??
Definitely. It's always innacurate, especially when they showed the "high tide" times from Gander International Airport - which is at least 40km from water.
