Actress Ellen Barkin is facing a multi-million dollar lawsuit from her tycoon ex-husband Ron Perelman - who claims she stole money from a production company he financed. The Revlon cosmetics boss' suit names Barkin and her brother George as co-defendants.

Perelman alleges the Barkins formed Applehead II to compete with Applehead I - which he had formed with them - and then stole money from the original company to pay for their new one.

He also claims she used his money to pay for a lawsuit she filed against him, and pay George Barkin a $250,000 -a-year salary. He is seeking unspecified compensatory damages, punitive damages and the return of misappropriated assets.

Perelman and Barkin, 54, divorced in 2006.

Ellen Barkin strikes me as someone who is bitter, angry and venomous. I sure wouldn't want to cross her. Such a shame, as I really enjoyed her early performance as Robert Duvall's daughter in Tender Mercies.

^^^^^ Yes, she was bitter. Probably stemming from being with a man who had her escorted out of her house by security personnel by her soon-to-be ex-husband. Divorce is dirty many times and this so-called man proved it. I applaud her for giving her jewelry to auction. She was made to feel like a trophy wife and wanted to be rid of things that reminded her of that part of her life.

May 7, 2007 -- SIX months after her very public divorce from Revlon mogul Ronald Perelman, actress Ellen Barkin is opening up about her six-year marriage, which hit rock bottom when the billionaire's security men escorted her out of his townhouse and onto East 63rd Street. "It's certainly not the shining moment of my 53 years on this planet," the glamorous blond star of "Sea of Love" tells Parade. "What the hell was I thinking? Marry a rich guy? Was I crazy? I was already at the party. I didn't need someone to get me through the door. How could I be so clueless?" Stories of Perelman's controlling attitude included him demanding his fourth wife not film sex scenes, kissing scenes or tape outside of New York. And her agreement to do "Ocean's Thirteen" in 2004 infuriated him. "Did I actually think I was going to give up working? It's important for me to work," she said. Of the $20 million worth of jewelry she sold last October, all gifts from her ex, Barkin said, "I didn't want to look down at my hand and be reminded of why I left him. I didn't need to carry around the baggage of a man who had tried to make me Mrs. Somebody. The jewelry wasn't a trophy for me. It was more like a battle scar."

if the guy is a "tycoon", why would he care if a washed up actress who was popular 15 years ago took money?
