Actress/singer Grace Jones is to release her first album in almost two decades.
The former Bond girl is planning to resurrect her pop career with a brand new record entitled Corporate Cannibal, featuring guest spots from rocker Brian Eno and dance star Tricky.
Jones, 59, whose last studio album was released in 1989, has been working on her new sounds with the help of her on/off lover, aristocrat Ivor Guest.
A source tells The Independent, "It has been touted to at least one label and is meant to be a remarkable record."

I always loved this woman. "Slave To The Rhythm" was a fantastic song. 18-19 years is a really long time to go between albums, I can't wait to hear what she releases.

she was a rather ubiquitious presence in the 1980's. She was a Bond girl in A View To A Kill and also was in Vamp, Conan The Barbarian and a few other movies back then. She also was a singer in the 70's and 80's but all but retired by the time the 90's rolled around.

Let's not forget her memorable role in "Boomerang" with Eddie Murphy lol My favorite Grace Jones jam is "My Jamaican Guy"

Oh yes, and her famous restaurant scene where she keeps repeating that phrase...which I won't type here, but let's just say she loved her kitty cat. ;)
She also had a hit with "Pull Up to the Bumper"...I didn't care for that song but I did find her hit "Slave to the Rhythm" rather unique and I rather enjoyed seeing the music video for it. Weird, but I couldn't keep my eyes off of it.

thanks for the Slave To The Rhythm link, that's a great one.
I also loved her remake of Demolition Man by The Police, I think her version craps on Sting's version, and their version was great too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SM3HO6cLF44
"I'm Not Perfect (But I'm Perfect For You)" was a great one too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npUfdNCeGq8 (the sound quality isn't too hot here)

LOL@Grace in Boomerang movie with Eddie Murphy when she said to him, when are we gonna f*ck hahahahahahahaha.

That 89 cd was the last thing I bought from her. Ended up selling it because I only liked the single "Love On Top of Love" which I had on 12 inch vinyl anyway. Hope the new one is good.
