The cast of 30 Rock has performed a benefit show to raise money for production staff who've been laid-off due to the ongoing Hollywood writers strike.

Cast members including Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan and Jane Krakowski took the stage of a small New York theatre on Monday to help their out-of-work colleagues. Two hundred fans paid $20 each to watch the show, 30 Rock Live!, which will air on NBC on December 6.

Speaking about the strike, Fey says, "It's such a solvable situation. Not only would I prefer to be working, but I would really like our crew to be working."

Members of the Writers Guild Of America have been staging walk-outs since November 5 after talks between the union and studio representatives failed to resolve a dispute over royalties.
