So TV Land put Jackie as number 13 on their list of the "50 Greatest TV Icons & Legends," right behind Dick Van Dyke and ahead of Ed Sullivan. Do you agree? I know I don't. At least Lucille Ball got number 2. Here's the link to the complete list:

BTW, how did Jack Benny not make this list? ohno:

Ignorance, Bill. Sheer ignorance.

I hate getting suckered into vapid countdown shows, but I kept this one on for background noise Friday night while I had my nose stuck in a book. I wanted to see how the Great One was treated. Very interesting that they used only footage from the Cavalcade of Stars. I'm guessing they don't have to pay royalties for presumably public domain footage.

...and that makes 100 posts for me. A mere bag of shells to some, but still...

You said it. I would've mentioned the absence of Art & Audrey, but I didn't expect them to make the cut. I just realized that the list goes up to 100 though, and Art is at 78...but no Audrey. The fact that Sarah Michelle Gellar & Jennifer Aniston made the top 50 over people like Art (#78) and Audrey & Jack Benny, who didn't even make the top 100, kills me. And what about Desi Arnaz? Sherman Hemsley? Ever heard of Jay Leno? Hell, Jerry Springer was a bigger TV legend than Sarah Michelle Gellar...

Cavalcade is in the public domain? If that's the case then why hasn't any of that material made it's way to home video yet?

Haha, congratulations!

My jaw dropped when I saw Art made #78! No one could touch that man's expressions, way with words, physical movements etc. Jackie was another one.. #13! He deserved to be in the top 5. Of course then there's Audrey, Desi Arnaz, Vivian Vance, William Frawley (did Viv and William make the list? I can't find the 100 list only the 50)...
Sorry but whoever made this list *along with whoever runs the 24/7 Fresh Prince of Bel-Air marathons* should be fired ASAP.

Eh, I'm super happy about Lucy though :D

Yeah, 78 is ridiculous. Although I will admit, I don't have too many arguments about the top 20...I think most of the names there deserve a spot, just not necessarily in that order. Jackie definitely deserves to be right up there with Lucy, and Carroll O'Connor should be bumped up at LEAST into the top 15.

Nope, unfortunately they weren't included either. Here's 51-100:

Hmm...seems to me like somebody's a big Fresh Prince fan. :) As far as who made the list though, I saw a commercial during the show about voting for your favorites, so I guess that's how they did it.

Yeah, since people were voting, I'm glad that Lucy and Jackie made the top 20...at least there's still some smart people out there.
