McKellen wants Timberlake to play him

Sir Ian McKellen has revealed that he would like Justin Timberlake to take the title role in a musical about his life.

McKellen said he thinks the singer would be the ideal person to bring his character to the stage.

He told Bang: "Justin vaguely resembles people in my family, and I think he is really talented."

The openly gay actor, 68, also claimed that being encouraged to hide his sexuality at work had made him realise the conservative nature of the movie studios.

He said: "With all that liberal attitude in Hollywood, you have a local industry which is saying to local people who live in the area 'when you come to work, you are not gay'.

"I think to myself, 'can people whose minds work like that make good films? And if at the heart of Hollywood there is that lie, how many other lies are there?' And it's the producers who have this problem - God knows what sort of people they are - who think that it's impossible for you and me to fancy the same person."

He added: "What dull lives they must have."

Nope,except for when he's on SNL, but even then he's not great in the skits, the ep's great, but he's usually not the best part.

Justin is decent on SNL, but rotten in movies like Black Snake Moan and Alpha Dog. I think he should concentrate on doing comedy when he takes movie scripts.

Musically, I wanted to dislike him but FutureSex/LoveSounds was a great album start to finish. I think him, Beyonce and Christina are definately the three out of that whole late 90's TRL teen invasion that really have shown they have talent. It's kind of tragic seeing Justin and Britney being the same age, but while Justin is building a reputation in the music industry as a dedicated hard-worker with a wide range of collaborations (Kanye and 50 to Janet, Madonna and Duran Duran is pretty diverse), Britney is becoming the next Anna Nicole and is epitomizing "trainwreck" and is completely lazy.
