Charlie's Family

Starring Patricia Wettig and Patricia Kalember as Janine and Corrine, two very close-knit sisters whose widowed-then-remarried father (Charlie) had passed away, and now decide to call a truce from disliking their stepmom, Barbara (Ann-Margaret) and younger half-sister, Lisa (Kristen Johnston). Janine and Corrine always resented their late father for remarrying and starting a new family so soon after their mother (Norah) died of breast cancer back when they were younger. But while attending their father's funeral, both Janine and Corrine decide it's time to make amends with Barbara and Lisa. Janine, Corrine, and Lisa are all happily married to their handsome, loving husbands. Janine's husband, Mitch (Tim Matheson) is a successful, well-liked orthodontist. Corrine's husband, Greg (Mark Moses) is a hardworking accountant. Lisa's husband, Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) is a self-employed handyman. Janine and Mitch have two children: the beautiful and headstrong 21-year-old Claire (Kristen Bell) and the hunky and popular 19-year-old Shawn (Chace Crawford). Corrine and Greg have two children: the cute and bright 18-year-old Danielle (Ellary Porterfield) and the quiet yet opinionated 16-year-old Luke (Connor Paolo). Lisa and Carlos do not have any children and enjoy it that way, for now. The Gallaghers and Harrises bond and reconnect with Barbara, Lisa, and Carlos on a personal level, now that Charlie is gone. Also, in flashbacks, the spirit of late Charlie (James Garner) comes and talks with Janine, Corrine, Lisa, and Barbara periodically, and the spirit of late Norah comes and talks with Janine and Corrine periodically as well.
