A judge has cleared Tracy Morgan of wrongdoing after he removed his alcohol monitoring ankle bracelet for medical reasons last week. The 30 Rock star was ordered to wear the band - known as a SCRAM bracelet - in May, after pleading guilty to driving under the influence in New York last year, an offense which violated his probation from a previous DUI arrest in Los Angeles in December 2005.

A hearing at Los Angeles County Court last week heard that Morgan was unable to continue wearing the bracelet because of an undisclosed medical condition, according to TMZ.com.

And on Tuesday a judge agreed Morgan no longer has to wear the monitoring device after studying photos of the funnyman's medical problem. The judge also ruled the comedian has now completed his probation for drunk-driving.

they're going to make fun of his alcohal arrests on 30 Rock in the next few weeks, according to episode summaries. not many shows can do a thing like that, which is why i love this show - it's different from other shows.

That's true. I remember reading a magazine article at the end of this past summer, and when they asked the actor who plays Kenneth "The Page" about the low ratings, he was going on about if he needs to do something to make a public scandal (like his co stars Tracy Morgan and Alec Baldwin were involved in last season) to bring attention to the show, then he will create one! LOL

In that same article, Tina Fey was saying how she was going door to door with the 1st season DVD's, hoping people will enjoy it, and watch the new episodes.

I think it's funny that they can poke fun at their own troubles. Maybe they all sit around discussing their troubles with each other, poking fun at them, like they do on the show.

on the topic of poking fun at the show's/cast's troubles, anyone else agree that there NEEDS to be an episode about the writers strike? it'd be so perfect with this show. it could be a hysterical episode.

I was thinking the same exact thing a few weeks ago. I think Tina will end up writing it in later in the season, or early next season.
