Collaspe last Night after her dancing performance ended. I know that would have freaked me out if I saw that Live. I caught a clip of that on Good Morning America this morning.
Did anyone see this as it happened and what was going through your mind

Dancing with the Stars is always live. I saw it and was stunned. At first I heard the crowd laughing and then they suddenly stopped because it wasn't a joke. Tom Bergeron then said we will be right back.

Well I think she should disqualify herself because I don;t think no one wants to see her collaspe again. I know that had to be some scary stuff to see LIVE

She did a fast pace latin dance. She did decent on it. She said backstage that she faints a lot, so she wasn't surprised. I don't think she should leave the show, because surprisingly she is good.

Solomon, it is live on the east coast, for us west coast folks, it is not. But we saw that collapse too. Marie is doing just fine and that type of dancing can cause anyone to faint if they are breathing like she was. She hypervenilated. I have done that when I have over exerted myself.
Please Solomon, her disqualifying herself for fainting is pure stupid. Why should she? The lady whose mother died two weeks ago didn't disqualify herself, and that is a tragic moment for her. If she can move on, than anyone can. Solomon, you really put your foot in your mouth too many times.

Yeah, the show has always been live for the East Coast, and usually for the West Coast it is an unedited reairing of the live show.
I saw it and was SHOCKED, then the commerical break was really really long and I was getting worried wondering what happened.

Irene I'm concerned about her health, I don't want to see her hot the floor again. So Maybe she should see a doctor or something so that won't happen again. Like if I fainted at work today, I'm going to the Doctor before I return. That doesn't make sense?

I have fainted several times in my life. No big deal. I fainted at work before, I went home, not to the doctor. It was exhaustion.
And Marie did say she has fainted many times before.

I know but she could fall the wrong way and hit her head before someone could catch her. So that's why I think it was not a situation to take lightly

She was alright last night. If she had any sort of head trauma, she would not have been standing there to receive her scores. Only once when I fainted, did I hit my head on the pavement. I was taken to the ER and was alright. Believe me, unless you faint and hit your head on the corner of a table or something similar, you can be in trouble. Our heads can take a hard hit.

I didn't see the show live, but I saw that clip online, and it scared the crapola out of me! I mean, she went down like a rock! :faint: I know that although fainting often indicates a problem, it also can be a reaction to something that does not indicate a health issue (she said lack of oxygen when she gets winded) and if it's happened to her before, then I would assume she's had it checked out before. I'll tell you what though...I wouldn't be surprised if her performance may suffer because of fear of it happening again (maybe her partner and the producers more than her) and I know every time she dances now the entire audience in the studio and at home will be holding their collective breath! :eek4:

Marie stated yesterday that she has fainted many times and she has had MRI's, scans and other things looked at, including her heart, etc. She has been told that there is nothing wrong with her. She gets anxious and she begins to breathe harder (hypervenilate). I had the same things done when the doctor wanted to rule out certain things because of my fainting spells.
If you look at the tape again, you will see she was already leaning on her partner and she slid down, she didn't fall sideways, and she did not hit her head.

I see no need for a disqualification. If she can handle the heat, then she should be able to stay in the kitchen.
