It's a long way off, but you might want to reserve a disc, tape, or set your Tivo. Turner Classic Movies will run the rarely aired 1968 film "Skidoo" with Jackie Gleason and a cast of dozens on January 5, 2008, at 2AM.

I wish they would show "Don't Drink the Water". I have a copy on VHS that I taped in the early 90s when it last aired on Showtime, but would like to get a better quality copy to put on DVD. It's one of my favorite Jackie Gleason movies.

I've never seen Skidoo before so I'm looking forward to watching it. Thanks for the heads up, MrBand.

Just wanted to bump this topic since the air date is close and make the correction to the original post that it will be shown in the wee hours of Saturday, January 5, not 4 as originally posted.

There's an allstar cast. One of the actors is Arnold Stang. Does anyone remember him from "It's a Mad, Mad World"? Hint...."It's the lunatic!" He was one of the gas station attendants who was fighting with Jonathan Winters, who Phil Silvers described to Stang and the other attendant as an "escaped lunatic", in order to slow him down on the cross country quest to find the $ buried in Florida.

Oh yeah Greg...my favorite comedy film. Arnold Stang and Marvin Kaplan were the attendants. Arnold wore gloves during the entire sequence because his left hand was in a cast from a fracture....so, if you ever notice...he holds it in a very odd position during the entire scene. Also, they were all trying to get at the money buried under a "Big W" (which ended up being palm trees) at Santa Rosita State Park in California, not Florida. One of the greatest comedies of all time!!!
