Have you ever heard of Gary Morris? He was pretty popular in the '80s. What a gorgeous voice - deep, full and lots of range. Not only did he sing country, he also did opera (La Boehme with Linda Ronstadt)! A lot of his catalog is sadly out of print, but I believe you can still find his 2 greatest hits CDs on Amazon and other such online venues. Some of the prettiest country songs I've ever heard are by him - Second Hand Heart, Plain Brown Wrapper, Headed For a Heartache. Those songs are worth looking out for. They're wonderful. Last I heard, Gary Morris owns a ski resort somewhere and still performs private concerts occasionally. Such a shame he never became a superstar because he had/has the voice of an angel.
