Bass: 'I thought Timberlake was gay'

'N Sync star Lance Bass has revealed that he once thought ex-bandmate Justin Timberlake was gay.

The singer said his suspicions were raised when Timberlake admitted that he dreamed of playing a homosexual role in a film.

He said: "We thought Justin was gay because he told us he wanted to do a gay part in a movie."

But he added that he also suspected fellow 'N Sync singer Chris Kirkpatrick, because "he used to hang out with a choreographer".

Bass announced that he was gay in 2006, saying he had kept his sexual orientation a secret for so long amid fears that it would affect the band's popularity.

He recently suggested that Timberlake should reunite with 'N Sync to record another album.

I saw the interview as well, interesting that N'Sync still owes two more albums, wonder if Justin realizes that? I thought it was wrong the way he completely dissed his former bandmates once he saw solo success. Beyonce went back to Destiny's Child for one more album, Rob Thomas went back to Matchbox 20, Gwen Stefani is going back to No Doubt, Phil Collins and Stevie Nicks juggled Genesis and Fleetwood Mac with their solo careers for years, but yet Justin said N'Sync would do one more album and then told them to go to hell after he saw fame on his own? what a spotlight-hog!!! If Gwen can go back to No Doubt, Justin can go back to N'Sync.

what I find funny is that it looks like he's hoping to inadvertantly out some of his former colleagues.

IMO, Lance is one to throw stones in a glass house. Remember when he pretended to be engaged to a woman to throw off the gay rumors that were starting to build up? No, he tries to forget that ever happened, but I do remember in 2000-2001 or so, he had a fiance. So I think he doesn't really have the right to try and out anyone else he worked with in the past because he did it and lived. Everyone's sexuality is their own business and it's up to them if they want to discuss it or not, but Lance thinks now that he's out that suddenly he's this gay martyr when he pretended to be straight himself just like what he's accusing Justin and Chris of doing right now.

You'd think someone who has had the paparazzi all over his tail like they were when he was dating Reichen, he wouldn't be hinting at or trying to out someone else like that. You'd think someone that was basically outed themselves would learn not to do something like that.

I mean, he of all people should know that it means nothing if one man hangs around another man. What? all of a sudden it came to him that Chris Kirkpatrick might be gay because he hung around another male? Based on that ONLY!? He assumes he might be gay? That is stupid!!! when it comes out of the mouth of a "straight" person, but to come out of the mouth of a person who has come out and professed his homosexuality??? Gimme a f**** break here.
