In 1930, the fourth Welland canal was being built, in this picture, you can see the parallel smaller channels of the older 1rst second and 3rd canals, heading North....for the fourth, they basically dug all the ground between the old channels to make a much wider canal. Centre you can see Bridge #13 (The bridge in my avatar), beside it is the older Alexandria Bridge (Which #13 replaced) , bottom right is Bridge #14 (AKA Lincoln st bridge) and bottom left, is the old fairgrounds and horse racing track.

I happen to collect, among other things, toys (though, not necessarily old ones)....so, last night I searched the net for interesting classic toys for sale on the web, and I thought id share some of the best ones with you :)

To start with, here's one I think is really kind of creepy! :lol:

Hmmm...I guess that was the cover art on the box, rather than a pic of the toy itself....but, Ill bet the actual toy is JUST as creepy! :lol:

Lauren, I used to have that pic. on the side of a building on my model railroad (which a sudden move forced me to dismantle a few years ago:( :( )

I can't believe I have never seen this thread before. My dad use to collect old toys similar to some you have here like the old tractors from the 30's those are pretty cool.:wave:
