Very early numbers indicate a 10.7/15 overnight rating, making it the most watched new series premiere. It held 79% of DWTS's numbers at 9pm (13.6/16), not bad at all. Let's see what the story is in the fast nationals at noon and the final numbers later in the day.

Very good ratings. This could be ABC's first hit sitcom in quite some time. We will see how many return next week, but a very, very good start for a very promising and good show.

MAJOR hit. Held 92% of the Adults 18-49 audience from Dancing. By far and away the biggest sitcom premiere in at least a season.

I'm so happy. ABC may FINALLY have a sitcom hit and they finally have a show that, at least for a week, did really well out of DWTS. This is big news!

I thought this came on wednesday, so i missed the premeire. damm.

and by the way, a show is not a hit just because it had a good numbers for it's first episode.

Fast Nationals:

#1 at 9:30pm in HH and viewers and #2 in 18-49.
10.2/15 HH, 14.92 million, 4.5 18-49.

Retention rates were very impressive out of the final half-hour of DWTS, especially the 92% in 18-49. 77% retention in HH and 74% in viewers. Sam did better than I predicted, which was 14 million.

Yes, Solomon, the key is the next few weeks, but it will easily be the #1 sitcom as long it has the DWTS lead-in.
#1 new show premiere in HH/viewers and the #1 sitcom audience of the season. When was the last time a sitcom had the biggest premiere for a new show?

i greatly enjoyed the show; the reviews I read weren't that favorable but I didn't agree with their complaints after watching the show - it was a little fast-paced and wacky, but it was still fun to watch overall.

Wow, not expecting this much at all. If this stays around 12-14 million each week, it'll be the biggest hit sitcom telelvision has seen in a long time. I don't know why this show was so big, though. Probably because of DWtS as it's lead-in, or it was because of viewers tuning into to see Christina Applegate. I hope it does just as well each week!
