What did you think of the episode that introduced Sheldon's mom? Did anyone notice her odd accent?

I loved Laurie Metcalf. It just reminded me of how great an actress she is. She could take the simplest role of a mother and turn it into something hilarious. I think the accent was to make her look stupid, whereas Sheldon is super-smart. Anyways, she really shined. I hope we get to see more of her!

I thought the show was pretty good, wonder if she'll be on several more episodes? I thought she was trying to do a take-off of a southern accent.

I thought Sheldon's mom was funny. I hope she comes back in the near future.

The southern accent was supposed to be funny. Sheldon's mother was just an average, not so smart person (the southern accent just said it all!) while Sheldon was an extrememly intelligent scientist.

I think we'll see more of Laurie, since he's supposedly dating Sheldon's boss. That'll probably play into one of the episodes.

Ive just watched the eppy, it was funny and great to see laurie back again, whats up with her voice? :lol:

Her accent was funny. And that line about Sheldon "falling out" of her was hilarious!
