I have yet to watch "The Amazing race".Should I wtach it,what's the object of the show?

it's about these groups of contestants-there's, like, 7 groups, with 2 people in each one, and they have to race around the world, starting and stopping at the same spot. The throw some "challanges" in along the way to make it interesting that enable them to do different tasks and try to beat each other in them. And they get eliminated one by one, and the team that makes it all the way, from beggining to end, gets $1000.
It may not sound interesting, but beleive me, it definetly is! Just watch 1 or 2 episodes and you'll be hooked on it!

I agree, it's a very addictive show. The first season I saw was season 10, but I have since seen the rest. My favorites are 5, 7, and 10. I believe TAR 12 will start mid-season, but not sure about a day/timeslot yet.

I'm psyched that Season 12 starts tonight!!! I guess we're lucky that CBS canceled Viva Laughlin or whatever it was called after only two episodes, as ARXII wasn't supposed to debut until January! I'm curious to find out about the new teams, especially the Goth couple, as they are from my home state of Kentucky, believe it or not. I'm sure they will be the antithesis of Team Kentucky (David & Mary) from the previous two seasons! Can't wait for tonight!

Does Ron get on anyone else's nervers? On last night's episode, Ron was beyond irritating and annoying... does he ever shut his mouth? Does he have a clue what he is even saying most of the time? I think he's so in love with the sound of his own voice that he says things for the way they sound rather than for what they mean. I became so irate at one point... he was complaining to his poor daughter about being indecisive when it was he who couldn't decide which task to do, either the furniture lift or looking for the bicycles. Then when he continued berating the poor girl at the bus stop... how pathetic is he? At the pole vault, I would have shoved him into that ditch so fast... I really hoped that the team would be eliminated... not for his suffering, put-upon daughter, but for her ghastly father! Roll Eyes She will definitely be in therapy for life! If he were my dad, I would say "Goodbye, so long and have a nice life!"...

Yes, I completely agree. He is beyond annoying. Funny how you said you would have shoved him into the ditch...while I was watching, I thought to myself that if I was his daughter, I would have beat him with the pole! :lol: It was also annoying how he was joking about her weight toward the end. However, it did amuse me how he was singing in the preview for next week's episode. :lol:
