(The NY Yankees beat the Cleveland Indians 8-4.)

(Ralph is having lunch with Ed at his manhole.)

Ralph: "Norton, did you see the game last night? What a Yankee game. I couldn't believe that the Yankees came back like that and busted the game wide open like that."

Ed: "Me too. I thought that Cleveland was going to win."

Ralph: "What are you talking about Norton? The Yankees are going to take the series. I have a feeling that they will. Tonight, they will tie the series and the Indians will go back to thier tent. Ha ha ha."

Ed: "Well, as far as slumps go, Cleveland deserves a championship more."

Ralph: "You traitor. You think Cleveland deserves a title? Ha. The Yankees deserve it Norton. They had to put up with more trouble in their seven-year drought then Cleveland has in it's 59 year drought."

Ed: "Well, I know someone around here who feels sorry for Cleveland. It is someone that you know well."

Ralph: "Who is it? Is it that jealous McGarrity?"

Ed: "No."

Ralph: "Is it that Joe Fenstablau?"

Ed: "No."

Ralph: "Harvey?"

Ed: "No."

Ralph: "Alice's mother?"

Ed: "No."

Ralph: "Freddie Muller?"

Ed: "No."

Ralph: "Who is it Norton? I promise that I won't beat them up."

Ed: "Me."

Ralph (yells): "ALL RIGHT NORTON! PUT 'EM UP! PUT 'EM UP!"

(Ed runs away from Ralph.)

(Jackie Gleason walks on stage.)

Jackie: "FOlks, the Miami Beach crowds are GREAT! GOOD NIGHT!"

(Audience applauds.)
