It actually got my mine thinking back to a news story I saw, where a PC support technician was sent to somebodys house and installed cameras in her bathroom - I was thinking Leonard and Sheldon might have actually done that sort of thing, luckily they're not that creepy.

as long as there is clean towels wascloths and the place isnt disgusting i dont see whats gross.

I did find it a bit forward of her to even ask! I mean she isn't suppose to be the brightest of the batch and Lenoard is in love with her. Sheldon didnt seem the happiest about her coming on so strong but don't forget, it was just the pilot. Mistakes are made and some character traits may differ from later episodes or seasons!
