Chapter 1- Mistaken Identity

It was a bright sunny day at the Ealing Broadway centre and the Shadiws were walking around the shops to find a gift for their new commander Lorenz or 'Larry' as they prefered to call him.

"Hey, you guys, look, there's that reporter bloke from the BBC News Johnny something." said Tony Meehan.

"Oh my god, look at that big giant bum." Terance 'Jet' Harris said

"Jet, please, he may hear you, for God's sake." Bruce Welch scolded the group's leader.

The dark haired young man walked to the Shadows and glared coldly at Jet.

"Look, Flat Face. I love my bum the way it is, okay? So leave me alone." the young man said as he pushed Jet aside and he fell into the fountain and was covered in water.

"FLAT FACE?" Jet yelled. "THAT'S IT, I'M GONNA GET HIM!"

Both Hank Marvin and Bruce had to hold Jet before he started a fight in the middle of a London shopping centre.

"There you go, Jet. Always picking a fight when you get cross." Hank stated.

Hank quickly handed a spare oufit to Jet for him to wear as they entered the bookstore.

"Hi, Guys, that Johnny guy's here too." said Jet's girlfriend, Carol Costa, from behind the counter as she saw the band enter.

"Great." Johnny said.

"WHAT?" yelled Jet sternly.

"It's okay, Jet, you don't have to speak to him if you don't wanna." said Carol kissing him on the cheek.

Upset with what Johnny said to him earlier, Jet stormed over to him and turned him around.

"Well, I didn't expect you to be here, Flat Face." Johnny said anrgilly.

"My name is Jet, not Flat Face but my real name's Terance." Jet said sounding just as cross.

"Look, I don't like this more than you do so let's try to get this over with, okay?" Johnny said.

"Okay." Jet said.

Both Jet and Johnny started to read one book after another and as minutes progressed, Jet noticed that Johnny was just as bright as Tony was. Jet had a lucky guess that Johnny had read as many books as Tony had done since he first met him just like if Johnny had some kind of degree in literature.

"Carol, you don't if I went and washed my hands for a few seconds, do you?" Jet asked as he approached his blonder girlfriend at the counter.

"Okay, Jet but don't take long." Carol replied.

In the men's room, Jet was washing his hands and an idea came to his mind as he glared at himself in the mirror.

"Well, maybe it'll look good." Jet told himself as he brushed his fringe into a quiff which made him look just like Johnny but as soon as he walked out, two pairs of hands grabbed him and a blunt object, probably a baseball bat, had slammed against his head. The last thing he saw was the door of a black van open and after that, everything went dark.

Back at the bookstore, Hank, Bruce and Tony where worried because Jet hadn't returned from his trip to the men's bathroom nor did he contact them to meet him there.

"Bruce, look after Tony while I find Jet, will you?" asked Hank just out of Johnny's earshot.

"Okay, he's taken a bit too long, Hank so be careful." Bruce said as he saw hid old schoolfriend walk out of the bookstore. A few seoncds later, he gasped in horror as he saw Jet's communicator lying on the ground with the screen broken and with signs of a battle, he also picked up Jet's watch.

"Jet, what happened, where are you?" Hank asked concernedly.

A few minutes later, Hank walked back into the bookstore and showed Bruce and Tony Jet's broken communicator.

"What happened to Jet?" Tony asked frightenedly.

"I don't know. I found his communicator and watch outside the men's bathroom." Hank replied.

At that moment, Bruce and Tony stood up and the three teeange Shadows left the bookstore leaving Bruce to contact Larry.

"Larry, it's Bruce, did you speak to Jet?" Bruce asked into his own communicator.

"Sorry, Kiddo but I think he was kidnapped." Larry replied.

And as Larry spoke, a WOOHP jet came buy and Cady, Elaine and Natalie pulled Hank, Bruce and Tony into the jet and minutes later, all three teenagers arrived at WOOHP Headquarters and they all sat on the couch in front of Bridget's old desk which was now Larry's.

"Let me show you guys something," Larry said as he pressed a button and the screen showed up two men dressed in black outfits kidnapping Jet, a red cat-like figure was seen on them and the video ended as a foot covered the screen. "Sorry to tell you guys this but Jet was taken by agents of M.A.D."

"And that is?" asked Hank.

"I've heard of them, they're an evil organization but they were operating in San Fransisco, California, right?" asked Tony.

"I think that they took the wrong guy." Larry said.

"What???" Hank, Bruce and Tony asked altogether.

"They were looking for this guy," Larry said and the three teenage Shadows all gasped as a picture of Johnny appeared on the screen. "His name's Johnny Calhoun, he's the nephew of former detecive Sean Calhoun and he's the newest reporter for the BBC News. I was planning on asking you guys to keep an eye on him but now it seems that we'll have to recruit him."

"Excusez moi? You mean as a WHOOP agent?" Bruce asked.

"He's a reporter and the brightest guy you could ever meet, trust me," said Larry. "In fact, when he was a kid, he was the one who solved his uncle's cases all the time. It's his most sacred secret and also well kept."

"Hang on, hang on, you're saying that his uncle didn't solve the cases and that he did all the work?" asked Hank.

"You're damn right." replied Larry.

"Okay and how are you gonna ask him?" asked Bruce.

"You're gonna speak to 'im." Larry replied.

"What? Wait a minute." Tony spoke up.

But at that moment, Johnny had been dragged into WOOHP HQ by Natalie and the second he got up, he got ready to battle and as Tony got closer, Johnny grabbed his arm and slammed him against Larry's desk breaking it in half.

"HEY, STOP IT!!!" yelled Hank sternly.

"I should've known that you worked for M.A.D," snarled Johnny. "Come on, try to get me."

"Look, you better calm down for just a second." stated Tony.

Larry ran to Tony, he was worried because the teenager wasn't moving and the impact on the desk was incredibly brutal, his worry increased as he saw a thin line of blood coming out of the youngest Shadow's mouth.

"I better?" asked Johnny. "You better surrender or I'll beat you up."

"Look, I don't want to resort to violence." Hank said.

Johnny chuckled and said "I'd love to see you try."

"Look, mate, you hurt our drummer and that's something I'm not gonna tolerate." Bruce said as he got to his feet.

Johnny prepared to fight but as Hank and Bruce were going to attack, Larry got in the middle and then, he had realized something.

"That's enough, Johnny." a female voice that everyone, except for Johnny, knew said from the screen.

Johnny's eyes opened wide as Larry, Hank, Bruce and Tony all said "Bridget."

"He's a reporter guys and don't worry, the'yre friends, Johnny..." Bridget started until Johnny said "I'm sorry."

"It's okay." Larry said.

Johnny turned around as he heard the sound of wheels, his face went pale as he saw a team of paramedics taking Tony away in a stretcher.

"Oh my god," Hank said as he noticed something on Johnny's left hand. "That's impossible."
