Chuck is a smart, strong-minded, award-winning journalist who relishes the fame, women, and freedom that comes with the job. He is a serious, extremely-capable reporter one minute and a vain pampered star the next. His hotel-living womanizing days are getting a little tough to pull off as he gets into middle age; a confirmed bachelor, he's starting to sense he may need a little more dimension in his life.

It's not easy to balance the cut-throat world of TV news with the challenges of being a single mother, especially for Kelly. She's meticulous in her work habits -- some might say uptight and anal -- and this, along with her sharp tongue, has led to many clashes with the more free-wheeling Chuck. She is a fiercely-devoted and strict mother to Gracie, her 10-year-old daughter. Beneath her tough exterior, is a soft and sensual woman who just needs a good back rub.

Thank you, Brian, for that wonderful character synopsis of the new pair, complete with photos! I'm very pleased to read that Chuck is going to be smart. I don't know why I was fearful of a Ted Baxter clone.

The fireworks are going to fly between these two, in more ways than one. ;)

This show looks like it will be a lot of fun. Is that Fred Willard I see in the cast photo? Even better! :cool: What date does it debut again?

Seriously, but I am fearful it will "tank." I just don't have confidence in the viewing public anymore. So many quality shows have been canceled because of poor ratings.
