Chapter 1- Meeting Ray

It was a sunny day in East Anglia. As he was dressed in a black suit, white shirt, black tie, black belt and black shoes, Lovejoy had been washing his face in the kitchen sink since it was very hot outside. (If this were the TV show, Lovejoy himself would be speaking to the audience, right?)

Suddenly, Lady Jane Felsham, who was wearing a light blue two piece skirt suit, a white blouse and light blue high heeled shoes and her cousin, Lady Penelope Morgan, who was wearing a pink skirt suit, a flower patterned blouse and pink high heeled shoes, both arrived as soon as Lovejoy's young apprentice Eric Cathpole, who was wearing a navy blue blazer, a light blue shirt, a yellow and dark blue striped tie, a black belt and black shoes, had opened the door and was rather wet after washing his face 3 times in the bathroom sink. Noticing that Eric was wet and had a towel around his shoulders, Lovejoy was a bit concerned that Eric had changed outfits that day and was prepared to wear the one he had on as soon as Tinker got home.

"Eric Morrison Catchpole, I can't believe you washed your face and neck in the bathroom sink," Lovejoy called and Eric suddenly looked at his employer and giggled a bit. "If Tinker finds put that you got wet again, he'll get a bit worried."

"Why the bloody hell are we dressed up for?" Eric asked. "Is it the antiques fair again, Lovejoy?"

"That's not for a couple of weeks, you pillock," Lovejoy stated. "Tinker's son Ray is visitng and I bloody well hope that Ray and Tinker don't have he same habits."

"I hope you're right, Lovejoy." Lady Jane agreed. Ten seconds later, the door bell rang and Tinker Dill, who was wearing a white suit, a light blue shirt, a white tie, a white fedora with a black hatband, a white belt and white shoes, entered with a young man who was about a year or 2 younger than Eric and was wearing a grey suit, a white shirt, a red tie, a black belt and black shoes.

"This dump is Chez Lovejoy?" the dark haired young man asked as he stood beside Tinker. Tinker took a quick glance at the young man beside him.

"Raymond Alexander Dill, I told you not to refer to an East Anglian cottage in that way." Tinker said.

"Sorry, Dad but my old place in Piccadilly Circus is a palace compared to this place!" said Raymond as he saw his father remove the fedora and walked into the kitchen.

"Everybody, this is my son Raymond." Tinker said as he arrived in the kitchen with Raymond behind him as Lovejoy ran up to them.

"For your sake, you better not've done anything sunny with him, Tink!" Lovejoy joked laughing.

"No, Lovejoy, I haven't had the chance!" Tinker said as he saw Lovejoy and Raymond stainding face to face.

"Raymond, I'm your father's boss Lovejoy and this lad here is your dad's other co-worker Eric and our friends Lady Jane and her cousin Lady Penelope!" Lovejoy said as he introduced himself and the others to Raymond who flinched at the sound of his own first name.

"Can you call me 'Ray' instead of 'Raymond', Lovejoy?" Ray asked kindly.

"Okay since you asked nicely." Lovejoy said cooly.

"Thanks, Lovejoy!" Ray said equally cool.

"That's funny, I expected you to look more like Tinker than Mark Radcliffe!" Eric said to Ray for the first time.

"I may have got my mum's hair and eye colour but I've got my dad's facial features and guts, you loudmouthed Norterner." Ray said back.

"Do I have to separate you two?" Tinker asked coming between Ray and Eric.

"Ray here just called me a 'bigmouthed Northener' which I ain't, Tink!" Eric replied.

"I was 'loudmouthed Northerner', not 'bigmouthed Northerner', get your facts right!" Ray said defensively as he glared at Eric who glared back.

"The last person who called Eric either a 'loudmouthed Northerner' or a 'bigmouthed Northerner' got punched in the face!" Lady Jane told Ray for the first time. Ray suddenly glared from Eric and smiled at the redheaded lady behind him.

"Dad, who's that lady?" Ray asked turning towards his father.

"The redhead in Lady Jane Felsham and the blonde is her cousin Lady Penelope Morgan." Tinker said as Eric glared at Ray again for smiling at Lady Penelope.

"Do you mind being called 'Ray' rather than 'Raymond'?" Lady Penelope asked Ray for the first time.

"Yeah but the only people I know who've actually called me 'Raymond ' these days are my folks." Ray explained.

"Oh my God, you're nuts!" Eric told Ray.

"I'm not nuts, you are!" Ray yelled back getting ticked off now.

"I can tell that you lads aren't going to be the best of friends then." Lovejoy said.

"You can say that again, Raymond may look like his mother but he does have my spirit and facial features." Tinker replied.

Chapter 2- The War Begins

It was starting to rain during the night but Ray couldn't sleep, something was bugging him and he didn't like it. He looked over at the photograph of him ann his parents back when he was only 7 years old shortly before their divorce and got slowly out of bed. He had got to the door, opened his father's bedroom door and saw that Tinker and he saw his father was still sleeping.

I haven't seen my own dad sleeping for about 2 years. Ray thought as he went into the kitchen to get a glass of water and met Eric also geting a glass of water. When Eric turned around and glared at him, Ray rushed to the sink and glared back at Eric.

"Are you going to stop looking at me?" snapped Eric.

"You were staring at me first, Eric." Ray replied calmly, he was trained to keep his cool when getting snapped at. Eric just got even more annoyed so Ray decided to let Eric leave the kitchen pronto. Eric was still furious with Ray for calling him a loudmouthed Norterner. Unfortunately for Ray, Eric poured the water on Ray's head and poured himself another glass of water. He looked coldly at Ray and I mean coldly, enough to chill some chilly.

"That's for calling me a loudmouthed Norterner!" Eric shouted. Lovejoy heard that and came down to see Ray being covered in water and Eric looking rather cross.

"What happened here then?" Lovejoy asked as he looked annoyed.

"I was gonna get a glass of water but that loudmouthed Norterner you call an apprentice poured his glass of water on my head!" Ray weakly said. Lovejoy looked at Eric.

"He bloody well deserved it for calling me a loudmouthed Norterner!" Eric shouted.

"You are one!" shouted Ray as he stormed upstairs.

As soon as Ray was upstairs, Eric smiled and also went upstairs followed by Lovejoy.

"I'm not giving in but I ain't gonna fight that fatload Tinker calls a son." Eric said as he headed to his bedroom.

"What's going on out here?" asked Tinker looking at Lovejoy as he stepped out of his bedroom. "Eric and Raymond's arguing earlier today was worse than every argument you and Charlie Gimbert have ever had!"

"Eric poured water from a glass on Ray's head for calling him a loudmouthed Norterner earlier today, Tinker." Lovejoy calmly replied.

"Now, Lovejoy, we both ask ourselves now why would Eric pick a fight with anybody other than Charlie?" Tinker sadly asked.

"Eric didn't touch Ray! he didn't do anything to physically harm him!" replied Lovejoy and walked staight to his bedroom.

The next moring, Charlie Gimbert was talking on the phone and said "You'll have to arrive at 10:30am on the dot and don't bother wasting your time, we've got a deal on an antique player piano that Tinker Dill's first wife Patsy gave me 3 days ago!" As he was still walking around dressed in a brown tweed three piece suit, a white shirt, a red tie, a black belt and black shoes, Charlie was feeling rather pleased with himself.

"Well, that's that sorted then, Taylor, you and O'Hara arrive outside 247, Greendale Road at 10:30am or the deal's off. Goodbye." Charlie said as he finally heard his client hang up on he phone and put the phone he had down.

Chapter 3- Big Trouble

Later that day, Lovejoy woke Ray up and brought him into the living room. Tinker and Eric, who were fully dressed like Lovejoy himself was, were both sitting on the couch.

"Okay, let's get this over and done with so we can find any old antique Charlie Gimbert'll be putting up for auction, okay?" Eric started as Ray growled at him and he growled back.

"Good idea. Raymond me lad, what happened last night?" Tinker asked as his own son sat beside him.

"Well, I couldn't really sleep, I had a bad feeling about something so I decided to go went into the kitchen to get a glass of water and met Eric also geting a glass of water. When Eric turned around and glared at him, Ray rushed to the sink and glared back at Eric. He looked at me and glared at me so I just got my water and looked to see if he was still glaring at me, he snapped at me but I calmly replied. I turned my back on him and he poured some water on me!" Ray explained.

"Right, so why did he do that?" Lovejoy asked sitting between Ray and Eric.

"I caleld him a loudmouthed Northerner which he is, Lovejoy. You came in and I left a few minutes later." Ray finished

"Okay, now, Eric, what about your side of the story?" Lovejoy asked

"Well, I was getting a glass of water, like and I saw Fatload Ray come down, he was glaring at me so I glared back, he yelled at me so I was still furious with Ray for calling him a loudmouthed Norterner and poured my water on Ray's head and poured myself another glass of water." Eric stated. Ray was getting angry and his left eyebrow started twitching.

"WHAT?" Ray shouted as Eric looked surprised. "I'm not fat, I'm big boned!"

A whole hour after the argument, Lovejoy and the guys got into Miriam and headed straight to Gimbert's Auction House. There were a group of auctioners outside with an old player piano that Tinker had noticed, seen and identified. Suddenly, both Lovejoy and Eric saw teo men, one who looked a lot like Warren 'Potsie' Weber from Happy Days and another who looked like David Caruso.

"What are we gonna do?" Eric asked as he looked at the two men who appeared to have been speaking to each other in American acents.

"I don't know. Ray, they've got 1920s machine guns, look out!" Lovejoy yelled but it was too late, Ray was hit in his right arm by a stray bullet and he fell to the ground unconscious.

"Raymond," Tinker yelled as he rushed to where Lovejoy and Eric where and they all chased after the two men grabbing Ray. "Raymond, we'll save you, trust me!" The dark haired young man grabbed Ray but his ankles and the redhead grabbed him by the head and they both took him a Rolls Royce which had belonged to Charlie Gimbert himself.

Chapter 4- Kidnapped

Ray woke up in a large room which was about the same size as his old flat in London's Piccadilly Circus. He was tied to a chair around his chest and his hands were bound behind his back but his legs and ankles weren't tied and he was also lucky it wasn't small as he was claustrophobic and started to look around for an exit but found nothing of the like. He heard footsteps coming down the hall, shut his large brown eyes and pretended that he was bored. Charlie Gimbert appeared before him as he was yawning and struggling against his bonds.

"Are you gonna do something or what, I'm getting bored here!" Ray yawned.

"Raymond Alexander Dill, isn't it? I've heard your father tell me so much about you. I've got big plans for you but you'll have to wait, I can't deal with you and sell your father's old player piano but I know what you can do in the meantime." Charlie said inspecting his fingernails casually.

"And that would be?" Ray asked completely bored.

"You'll see." Charlie said as the door opened again and the same two Americans who fired at him entered the room dressed in 1920s gangster uniforms and still carrying the guns but this time, they had gloves on.

"What's the meaning of the fatload doing here?" the Potsie lookalike asked.

"Lovejoy's barker's son is bored and I need to sell his father's old player piano, Taylor. You and O'Hara keep him busy for a while." Charlie ordered.

"This should be fun." Ray said. Taylor got hold of Ray's legs and O'Hara grabbed a rope and tied them and later bound his ankles together.

"Any last words?" O'Hara asked evilly grabbing a piece of cloth from his left jacket pocket.

"Yeah, say hi to Al Capone for me!" Ray snarled through his clenched teeth and arched his head to avoid being gagged by O'Hara.

"Coward, avoiding being gagged while backsassing two American crooks means you're a damn coward!" Taylor laughed.

"No, it means that you two are so stupid that you can't get past me talking back," Ray laughed harder. "And even more stupid if you even bother gagging me!"

"Why you little fatassed son of a bitch, I'll kill you!" O'Hara shouted.

"I'll like to see you try," Ray challenged. "And the second I'm untied, you two American idiots'll be lying on the floor out cold."

"Oh and if we don't?" Taylor asked.

"Then you're idiots, even my dad can do better gymnastics that you two put together!" Ray mocked.

"What? We're not idiots." O'Hara shouted.

"Then prove it!" Ray yelled back. By this time, both Taylor and O'Hara were really ticked off. Taylor wiggled his right index finger in front of Ray's face but Ray had bitten it causing him to groan in pain.

"Why you little..." Taylor snarled.

"Let's finish then, shall we 'cause it's my turn now," said O'Hara as he pinched Ray's cheek but Ray headbutted him causing him to groan slightly. "That was too easy."

"That's it, having my American clients being attacked by my arch rival's barker's son is where I draw the line." Charlie said as he entered the room and ordered Taylor to grab Ray's head and O'Hara to tie that piece of cloth he had in his hands over Ray's mouth.

"What are these two blokes doing?" Ray demanded.

"If you must know, Taylor's holding your head while O'Hara's gagging you." Charlie replied.

"WHAT?" Ray yelled. Taylor suddenly grabbed Ray's head as Charlie had ordered while O'Hara, who noticed that Ray's mouth was open, had put the picec of cloth inside it and tied it aross his mouth gagging him.

"What else should we do with him, Mr Gimbert?" Taylor asked.

"Leave him here, guard him and don't disturb me while I make a ransom call to Lovejoy and his team." Charlie replied.

"Sure thing, Mr Gimbert." O'Hara said as Charlie went downstairs to the living room and phoned Lovejoy only hoping that he would tell Tinker that Charlie himself had Ray captive.

Chapter 5- Toby's Report

Poor Ray woke up in the same room he was in to find himself now bound and gagged to the chair he was tied to and as a matter of fact, Taylor and O'Hara were still guarding him. He remembered that two two Americans were also armed with 1920s machine guns.

Dad, I don't know if you can hear this but I've been kidnapped by Lovejoy's arch rival who never introduced himself to me. Look out. Ray thought as he struggled against his bonds and also notced that he also couldn't get up and his left eye was really sore.

Why would this bloke who's got a grudge against Lovejoy put me somewhere where I'd be comfortable unless ...yeah, he wants my dad's old player piano my mum's putting up for auction but I keep forgetting something, Ray thought as he shut both eyes. Oh God, HELP, I've been tied to chair by them Americans and gagged by them too.

"Hey, O'Hara, I think you've got allergies about Bee Orchid flowers and Mr Gimbert's garden's full of 'em." Taylor said to his redheaded companion.

"That's a problem but Mr Gimbert said that Fatso here needs to be in top form if this plan's gonna be successful." O'Hara said.

Meanwhile at Lovejoy's cottage, Detective Toby O'Flanigan who was one of Eric's closest friends had arrived as soon as he had heard that Ray had been kidnapped by Charlie somewhat causing Tinker to start crying.

"I feel so guilty for what the bloody hell happened, Tink." Eric said as he saw Lovejoy trying to calm Tinker down. Toby had seen what was going on and decided to pick up his walkie talkie, press the button and call Captain Sean Gereraty who had been a lifelong friend of Lovejoy's. Lovejoy and Eric both knew that all Tinker wanted right now was for Charlie to let Ray go unharmed.

"Cap, it's Detective O'Flanigan, I'm at Lovejoy's place and his barker's pretty upset 'cause his son was kidnapped." Toby said.

"Good going, O'Flanigan. I've told Detective Duncan to wait for you outside the Gimbert house and meet you and Team Lovejoy at 7:30pm this evening." Captain Gereraty's voice said from the walkie talkie Toby was speaking into. She looked at Eric who felt so guilty for calling Ray fat.

"Toby, did Captain Gereraty tell you were Rob Duncan would meet us?" Eric asked. Toby looked concerned.

"Cool it, Eric, the Cap told us to meet Rob outside Casa de Gimbert at 7:30pm this afternoon and I hope he's okay." Toby replied.

"Just what I thought." Tinker said wiping the tears from his large blue eyes.

"What is it, Tink?" Lovejoy asked.

"Charlie's got Raymond, Lovejoy. I understand it now." Tinker said.

"Finally, he's calmed down." Eric said cooly as Toby giggled a bit.

"Well, I better contact the Cap and tell him what Gimbert wants for Ray's return." Toby said as he got up to leave.

"Now I really oughta tell Ray I'm sorry I called him fat when I see him or if." said Eric frowning.

"When you see him, Eric, when." Tinker said as Toby left the cottage.

"Oh." Eric replied.

Chapter 6- The Hunt for Ray

As soon as Team Lovejoy arrived outside Chez Gimbert at 7:30pm, Tinker was feeling both worried and scared about what Charlie was going to do to Ray if he didn't get him back and knew that his own son was in trouble.

"Eric, Lovejoy, Tinker, are we so glad to meet you guys or what?" Toby asked as he saw Tinker and Lovejoy getting put of Lovejoy's car Miriam and Eric getting off his Harley Davidson motorbike.

"We sure are, Toby." Eric answered back.

"Toby, it's obvious Lovejoy's barker Tinker's got something on his mind but what?" a brown haired officer wearing the same ploice uniform as Toby himself.

"Charlie Gimbert got his son Ray, Rob." Toby replied. Toby and Rob managed to sneak into the house by the backdoor as Team Lovejoy got in through the front door.

"Eric, we're going to give those two Americans a serious butkicking as soon as we find them." Lovejoy told Eric.

"While you two are doing that, I'll find Raymond!" Tinker said before Lovejoy could say anything else as he dashed upstairs.

"Good luck, Tink, you're gonna need it." Eric told Tinker.

"That's something I've never heard you tell him, Eric." Lovejoy said proudly.

"Okay, now it's ass kicking time." Talyor's voice butted in from behind Lovejoy and Eric as they both turned aound to find Taylor and O'Hara by the door.

"Okay, keep your pants on." O'Hara told his accomplice as Taylor decided to do some one-on-one boxing against Lovejoy while O'Hara tried his hand at one-to-one karate against Eric.

"Raymond, where are you?" Tinker called as he looked around every door on the top floor for Ray until he heard a muffled voice that sounded like his son's own voice.

"Dad, I'm in here!" Ray's muffled voice replied.

"Oh my God, Raymond, did Charlie do this to you, Lad?" Tinker asked as he walked towards his bound and gagged son and removed the gag from his mouth.

As soon as Tinker was about to start untying Ray from the chair he was tied to, the door had opened again and Charlie coughed politely causing Tinker to turn around, stand up and glare back at Charlie who was smirking at him.

"Bravo, Tinker, bravo." Charlie said as both he and Tinker walked towards each other and stood face to face.

"What do you want, Charlie?" Tinker asked angrily.

"I'm planning on selling that old player piano your first wife, one Patricia Ann 'Patsy' Carpenter-Dill gave to me." Charlie replied.

"Mum wouldn't do that, would she?" asked Ray wondering of his own mother would sell anything to a scumbag like Charlie.

"Come on, Ray, we both know that your father wouldn't sell an old piano but your mother would!" laughed Charlie.

"If you want my son Raymond or my old player piano, you're going to have to face it like a man!" Tinker said preparing to give Charlie what for.

"Oh my God, I'm really really scared." said Charlie sarcastically.

"Charles Andrew Gimbert, now is not the time." Tinker snarled as he slapped Charlie full on in the face.

"Is that all you've got, Tinker?" Charlie asked grinning from ear to ear.

"No, I'm only just getting started." Tinker said.

"Dad, look out." Ray yelled to his struggling father.

"I know what I'm doing, Raymond, don't worry." Tinker told his bound son as he and Charlie were really attacking each other.

Both Tinker and Charlie were slapping, kicking and hitting each other for the next half hour until Charlie, who had had enough of being slapped around by his own rival's barker, had grabbed him and threw him against the wall knocking him out.

"Take that, Major Tinker!" Charlie laughed. He didn't move as Tinker slumped to the floor unconscious. Ray had got a bad feeling all of a sudden and then it hit him.

"Oh my God, Dad!" Ray shouted as he saw his unconscious father on the floor and looked rather shocked at the sight while Charlie picked him up and dragged him where his bound feet where.

"Ray, your father will wake up soon." Charlie said as he grabbed another chair and put it behind the one Ray himself was tied to.

Within a matter of seconds, Ray's wrists and arms were untied as Tinker was placed on the chair behind him while Charlie later tied them back to back as Taylor and O'Hara dragged the unconscious Lovejoy and Eric into the room a few minutes later.

Chapter 7- All Tied Up

This was an unfortunate event, Tinker came to to find himself tied to Ray's back and both Lovejoy and Eric unconscious on the floor and tied back to back like he and Ray were. He tried to grab his aching head but felt a rope tighten around his left wrist and realized that he was tied to a chair to his own son who was also his oldest child.

"Dad, are you okay?" Ray asked as he saw his father behind him.

"I may have gotten attacked by Charlie Gimbert, Raymond but I'm alright!" Tinker replied back.

"I hope so too, Tinker," said the voice of Charlie Gimbert as he stood at the door in the beret Tinker usually had on. "I'm also glad to see all of Team Lovejoy defeated by yours truly."

"Forget it, Charlie." snarled Tinker as Charlie walked towards him.

"Come on, your beret suits moi better than it suits you!" Charlie said smiling from ear to ear at Tinker as he saw that Lovejoy was starting to show signs of waking up.

"You're telling me, Charlie," Lovejoy said as he opened his eyes and glared at Charlie. "And let all of us go now."

"Let me think, Lovejoy, no." Charlie said turing around to face his arch rival.

"You can't bloody well keep us here forever." Lovejoy snarled as Charlie gave him a look that said 'Don't make me want to slap you'.

"Oh yes I can." Charlie snarled back.

"The second Eric wakes up and we're all untied, I'm going to kill you." Lovejoy said in his fake American bad guy voice as he glared back at Charlie just as soon as Eric was showing signs of waking up.

"I'd hate to see you stop me at all costs." Charlie told him evilly.

"What the bloody hell's going on?" asked Eric as he opened his eyes to find himself tied back to back with Lovejoy as Charlie looked down at them.

"I'm glad you woke up, Eric and by the way you always act, you're going to kill yourself one day!" Charlie sighed as he saw that Eric was awake.

"Charlie, do me a favour and shut your sodding face." Eric snapped turing to face Charlie.

"I knew something like this would happen." Tinker said softly as he heard Eric starting an argument with Charlie.

"Ray, before we all kick the bucket, I just wanna say I'm sorry for calling you fat." Eric told Ray as he winked and grinned at the younger Dill.

"That's okay, Eric and I'm sorry I called you a loudmouthed Norterner." Ray told Eric as he looked back at his father's employer's apprentice and grinned giggling.

"That's okay, I forgive ya too," Eric said as he heard the door open when Taylor and O'Hara entered. "And don't look now but here come those Yankies."

"I can't believe we're on guard duty and I also can't believe we have to utnie those guys on the floor to finish what we started." Taylor said as he looked at O'Hara who untied both Lovejoy and Eric.

"Okay, Taylor, you take the guy who looks like Disraeli and I'll take the guy who looks like Marty McFly from Back to the Future." suggested O'Hara. As son as he notcied himself and Lovejoy being untied, Eric noticed Toby and Rob from behind Taylor and smiled.

"Okay, Red, in about half an hour or whenever, you and Potsie there are gonna be on that floor face down." Eric exclaimed as Taylor decided to do some more one-on-one boxing against Lovejoy while O'Hara tried his hand at more one-to-one karate against Eric.

"Lucky for someone like you and your friend, I know every boxing move." Lovejoy told Taylor as he boxed him until he was down on the floor. Eric looked shocked as he gave O'Hara what for until he too fell to the floor as Toby and Rob untied Tinker and Ray.

"Alright, Charlie, now let's battle gymnast style and I'm not happy!" Tinker said as he started doing some gymnastics and gave Charlie a serious beating as he got ready to battle.

Chapter 8- This Time, It's Personal

Everyone was about to jump on Charlie but Ray and O'Hara, who had come too along with Taylor, stepped forward. Charlie was not happy at all.

"Ray, what the bloody hell are you doing?" Eric demanded.

"I wanna kick O'Hara's bum and I don't want any distractions or any help." Ray replied.

"You really as dumb as you look 'cause I was thinking the same thing." O'Hara laughed as Taylor held him back.

"Exsuce me, Folks, you might wanna put on some oxygen masks." Toby told Rob and Team Lovejoy whereas Eric was very confused.

"Why, I mean it ain't gonna be hard to breath, Tobes!" Eric said.

"Yet." Rob added.

"Enough chit chat, it's ass kicking time." Taylor shouted impatiently.

"Okay, let's go!" O'Hara shouted as he gave Ray a flying karate kick. Ray collapsed on the ground when he felt that kick and stood up again.

"You've gotta be kidding me, Ginger. A flying karate kick is only done by karate pros and Eric here!" shouted Ray pointing at Eric.

"Oh no, don't get that total dumbass involved." growled O'Hara. Ray knew O'Hara was talking about Eric and gave him a cannon punch.

"That's nothing more than a distraction!" Taylor shouted and saw O'Hara ump to miss the cannon punches.

"Okay, Grenade Gunger!" Ray said doing a few of his father's back flips and O'Hara fell to the ground, the air came right out his lungs as he was kicked.

"Nice attack but mine's better. Laser Beam!" said O'Hara as one of the karate moves he saw Eric doing hit Ray in the gut, he flew for 100 meters before landing on his back on the ground.

"Ow, that hurt but this is gonna hurt more. Cannon!" Ray said doing some of Lovejoy's canno moves which normally made the person hit fly 100 miles but O'Hara was flung against the wall because the room they were all in was no were near 100 miles long.

"Okay, Fatso, let's rock!" O'Hara shouted and the air became really thin, everyone put on oxygen masks but poor Ray didn't have one and couldn't breath. He whispered something and the air around him became normal but he smiled.

"Don't mess with a Dill or you'll get your arse kicked." Ray said proudly.

"Raymond, look out!" Tinker yelled. It was too late, Taylro did a flying double karate kick and hit Ray. He fell back and landed on his right side hitting his head on the floor.

"Ray, are you okay?" Lovejoy asked.

"Get them." Ray said weakly and at that very moment, Tinker did the Grenade Gunger, Eric did the Laser Beam and Lovejoy did the Cannon and kicked Taylor and O'Hara's butts successfully.

"Let's get him outta here." Rob said. Tinker lifted Ray his arms and got him into Miriam.

"He's going to be okay, right, Tink?" Lovejoy asked.

"Of course, we're talking about my own flesh and blood." Tinker replied.

Chapter 9- The War is Over...For Now

Ray woke up in Suffolk General Hospital which he had been born in and had gotten to know really well. He looked around and saw his mother, who had the same hair and eye colour as him, and father beside him and had had a bandage around his head.

"Mum? Dad?" Ray asked weakly. The woman looked at him and hugged him with Tinker doing so. "What happened?"

"You got attacked by two Americans working for Charlie Gimbert who was trying to sell our old player piano! You're safe now!" Tinker said softly.

"Oh, that's very too true... you know what, Tinker?" the brunette woman said.

"What, Patsy?" Tinker asked.

"Raymond got every habit he's got from you!" Patsy laughed hugging her ex-husband playfully. Lovejoy came in with his old friend Dr John Paris.

"Are you feeling okay, Ray?" Lovejoy asked looking down at Ray.

"Yeah, I guess I'm okay. Thanks, Lovejoy!" Ray said smiling back at his father's employer.

"You're welcome." Lovejoy replied. Soon, Dr Paris walked away from the whole team.

"Wait, where's Eric?" Ray asked.

"He's got band practise at his friend Mark Taylor's house!" Lovejoy said as he got up to leave.

"So, what do you want to do, Raymond dear?" Patsy asked stroking her son's hair as Lovejoy left.

"Well, I might as well go back to sleep, Mum." Ray replied sleepily.

"Alright, Raymond, I'm just glad you're still alive." Tinker said as Ray fell asleep and as soon as Ray was asleep, he grasped his first ex-wife's left hand and squeezed it.

"Patsy, do you remember when we first met?" Tinker asked.

"Of course I do, Tinker, you were injured and I had to take care of you." Pasty laughed.

"But I was a clever army lieutenant and you were a sweethearted nurse." Tinker said.

"I know but we were lucky to have still been friends after the divorce." Patsy added.

"I know but you do seem to like being in a hospital, maybe you love the place too much!" Tinker laughed and kissed Patsy's right cheek.

It was back in 1956 I first met Patsy and I'm glad to still be in contact with her after all these years, Tinker thought. She's fine, I know it.

"Okay, Mr and Mrs Dill, it's late, you two should go home." Dr Paris said as he saw Tinker and Patsy by the bed Ray was lying in an hour later. Patsy and Tinker both nodded and left the hospital and Tinker knew that whan Ray woke up, he would still have that bad feeling but knew he might ignore it.

THE END
