Our Boys
Starring Jim Belushi as the fortysomething happily married husband and father, Jim Harris, who resides in his Chicago home with his wife and their three growing sons. Jim and his loving wife, Janet (Debra Jo Rupp) have been happily married for the past 22 years now. Jim runs his own landscaping business, as Janet works as the school nurse at the high school. Jim and Janet's three sons range from: 21-year-old Kevin (Jake McDorman), 19-year-old Chris (Johnny Lewis), and 18-year-old Ryan (Ryan Pinkston). Kevin is a college junior, who just recently lost his full-ride scholarship to Illinois University (due to conducting an adultruous affair with one of his professors), and now has to transfer to the local community college. Chris is recent high school graduate who has decided to take a year off to "find himself" and "his true calling in life", much to his parents' dismay. Ryan is a high school senior who just so happens to think he is "God's gift to women" and is obsessed with girls, money, sex, cars, sports, and losing his virginity. Jim and Janet love their three boys dearly, yet would love to have them all move out and just be the two of them finally--however, they fear their boys will never leave the Harris family home voluntarily since "they got it so good". Also, Chris's beloved girlfriend of nine months, Bridget (Amber Heard) is often dropping by and hanging out at the Harris home with Chris and his family.
