Exactly 30 years prior to the date of the Great One's death, was a key date in UFO history. This is the date that the term "Flying Saucer" was introduced to the world. The following is from a link that I found on the subject:
:ufo: The June 24, 1947 sighting by private pilot Kenneth Arnold was not really the first recorded UFO sighting. However, it was the first sighting to be publicly reported and it attracted worldwide interest. It also attracted many more than its share of explanations.

Jackie was very interested very interested in the paranormal. If you have not seen it yet, check out the collection that Marlyn donated to The University of Miami. http://scholar.library.miami.edu/jg/
The books he read would give me the chills. I wouldn't even read some of them. Sheesh! Kinda creapy...Jackie was WAY OUT there! Lol! He's Gone! He he .I have always thought that UFO's were pretty neat. I'm suprised Jackie never played on The Twilight Zone, as many actors did. Anyways, I don't know if this topic has been brought up yet, but I thought I'd give it a whirl. I recently purchased an old radio program recorded on CD from ebay. Check out the ebay link and let me know if you want to trade for a copy. It's neat, but I can't see spending to much money on it. It is hard to hear, but worth giving a listen if you are a fan of Jackie or UFO's.
