I've been rewatching the 39 again, and started to really notice how many episodes begin with Alice doing something different in the kitchen/living/dining room. Those scenes appear in almost half of the episodes.
Here is the breakdown of the opening scenes:
18-scenes with Alice
6-combos of the four friends in the apartment
3-the Gotham Bus Co.
3-the Raccoon Lodge
2-the pool hall
1-the Norton apartment with Trixie
6- miscellaneous
-the counterfeiters' basement
-the sewer worksite
-the $99,000 Answer set
-a park bench
-on the street with the Questioning Photographer
-outside a Madison Square Garden dressing room

You bring up a good point. I never thought about that before.

Thanks for posting that info. I was going to do the same. This will help if we ever decide to make a combination of episodes to create a 2 hour show.

What 2 episodes does Norton start off the show with and Trixie doesn't appear in?
