There's probably been a thread on this before, but I thought I'd start a new one. What are your pet peeves?

My pet peeve is people who are in everyone's way.

New York City is a very crowded place. The stores, the subway trains, the sidewalks...too many people on a very small island.

So we really don't need the peole who have no idea that they are blocking aisles, causing a massive pileup of people behind them as they meander down the sidwalk...

In short, snap out of your iPod induced haze and get the heck to the right side! Other people have places to go!

I cant stand people who think they can just talk on their cel phones wherever they are.....nothing makes me feel less comfortable than when Im, say, in a store and someone answers their cel while im busy looking at something on a shelf.....you dont want to listen in, but, you cant help hearing...i just want to yell, GO OUTSIDE TO ANSWER THAT! ( Can you tell i havent got , or want, a cell phone? :p )

Yes thats true i hate that if my phone goes off and im in a store or wherever i step outside,althou i hate talking outside in a crowed place because its rude if the call is not important i say ill call you back later. ;)

My pet peeve is when people call orchestra band. Orchestra is not band. I really don't get why people can't get it straight because when you hear/see an ensemble that has both string and band instruments, it's called a Full Orchestra. If anything people should be mistaking band for orchestra, not the other way around. Annoys the heck out of me.

I really can't take it when people talk with food in their mouth. Another pet peeve of mine is when someone talks very low, and soft, and I can hardly understand what they're saying. :rolleyes:

people who are always like an hour late to everything. i mean i can understand 10, even 15 minutes late but geez some people are always like an hour to an hour and a half late. even 2 hours. how is it possible for some to be that late?!

oh yeah, another one is people who try to convert you to their beliefs. its not just Christians although they do it a lot, a lot of atheists go around saying how God is fake and you shouldn't believe in him or your an idiot. its not even just religion, just any beliefs.

People who don't use turn signals (when driving, not walking)
People who drink too much alcohol
People who think there are no good American cars
People who criticize Halloween

Hmmm...let's see here:


-When I have my ID with me, I never get carded yet when I forget to bring my ID that's when I get carded.(Do they know or something?!)
-When a person shouts at the movies or at the t.v. as if the person in the t.v. can hear them like in The Price Is Right, etc.
-The shopping cart that always has the one messed up wheel(WHY OUT OF ALL SHOPPING CARTS I HAVE TO GET THAT ONE?!) :mad:
-When you go to a restaurant and there are like a thousand empty booths yet the host sits you at a table with hard chairs and the table is wobbly.
-People for some reason who feel it's not necessary to clean up after their dogs.(WTF?!)
-Men that think they can have a wife and at the same time have multiple sleeping partners and think they're "THE MAN"!!
-Women who dress like sluts and then wonder why men are always whistling at them or trying to feel on them.
-When you're listening to your favorite song on the radio and all of a sudden there's static and it can't be heard.
-Dropped calls!
-Cell phones!!
-When you call someone and they answer the phone and tell you right away they'll call you back.(Why didn't you just let me leave a message?!)
-Monkey see monkey do-ers(If that even makes sense..LOL!)
-People who run/walk up the escalator stairs and push people aside as they do so(Why not just take the stairs moron!!)
-People that are rude and have NO manners what so ever!
-Parents that stick their little girls in those beauty pagents(WTF?!)
-Going to a store and waiting to purchase something but the clerk is gabbing away on the phone or with another co-worker.

I guess I'll have to stop. The list goes on and on...damn I might need anger management. LMAO!! :rofl:

The movie Jesus Camp is like that -- it's a documentary barfmentary about going to religion camp in Devils Lake, ND, which is where I lived for 10 years so I know all about that. I heard somewhere one time that North Dakota has the greatest number of churches per capita or something like that, so there's certainlly no shortage of Bible thumpers here. :barf:

People who gossip or say bad things about other people behind their backs. I absolutely abhor anyone, who says crap about someone when they are not around, why? because if they are saying crap about them guess what, they are saying crap about me...


This is probably my biggest pet peeve too, Tara. It really makes me angry when a person or a group of people sit around and talk about another person behind their back. :mad:

I hate that too. That happened to me and a friend during our lunch hour, this past Friday. She drove us up to the grocery store and we were in check out and the checker is too busy chit chatting with her neighbor about the ingredients in Red Bull instead of finishing with our food orders.

What else bugs me.

Slow drivers
People who don't use turn signals.
People who push past you and don't say "Excuse Me."

I dont know if they have lottery tickets sold at convienience stores in the USA but, here, it seems like every 3rd customer is there to buy lottery tickets and then.....they buy two of this, THEN decide to get 3 of THAT...and when you think they are done ,they decide they need an extra 2 of ticket one,,,and so on and so forth, while im standing there with a loaf of bread and a pint of milk. If the stores think its SO important to sell these tickets, then they should hire another clerk and have them do nothing BUT tickets. Why do I have to wait with 2 items while someone else wastes my time and everyone elses? Wow... I really DO hate that, dont I? :lol:

-people who text message a lot. so annoying...i see kids in my school texting every minute of almost every single class. can't talking to your friends wait? however, what gets me the most mad about that is when you're talking to someone and they go "wait, i have a text" and they stop talking to you to text that person back.

-people who ALWAYS listening to their iPods, wherever they go. makes it hard to talk to them.

-people who ask you if you've seen a movie. you say no. they proceed to tell you the entire plot and ending of the movie. annoying.

man I HATE when people buy lottery tickets man, especially when there's like a line of half a dozen people waiting and some inconsiderate jerkoff is sitting there taking his time trying to pick which "Lucky Scratch" ticket to blow his last $2 on.

I am surprised cell phones are permitted in school nowadays, when I was in high school in the early 90s, pagers and walkmens were the thing, and if you got caught with one, it was taken.

Anyway, I have lots of pet peeves, lately the one that has been standing out is that in supermarkets, people stand in the main isle and not move out the way, knowing that other people need to get through, that is so frustrating. Please keep moving or step aside!

I hate that one too. There's always some idiot standing in the middle of the aisle, taking an hour to choose a soup. Move to the side, please. How hard is this concept??

Same goes with the shoppers who stop and talk to people and stand in the middle. Seems like it's always in the busiest aisle, too.

Tailgaters. If there is more than one lane, go around. SIMPLE! If there is only one lane, SLOW DOWN. Trust me, it won't kill you.

Makes me wonder if some of these speed demons and brake slammers are also gas price bitchers. Cuz that would be all sorts of ironic.
