In episode 2, "Funny Money," there is a sound like someone cut one. omg: It is about 13 minutes into the episode. The telephone installer goes out the door, Ralph turns toward the table and you can hear it. Jackie and Art just carry on with the scene with no reaction. I played it back several times to see if something else could have made the sound, but I don't see anything that it could have been.

Is it just my imagination or did it actually happen? :fart:

If that did happen and both Gleason and Carney carried on with a straight face then it's a testament to the acting abilities of both of them.

I just checked it out for myself and it seems to me that the sound was actually Jackie clearing his throat. It did sound a little strange, but if you notice immediately after, he starts coughing and blurts out, "It pays to buy the best!"

Thanks, Bill. I was hoping it wasn't what I thought it was! I'll watch it again without a dirty mind!

I checked it out also and it's actually Ralph who makes the weird sound with his mouth. It sounded like he was trying to clear his throat but it came out sounding funny. It happens right after the phone guy leaves. :) Btw, after Ralph coughs his lungs out, Ed's face is priceless!!

Jackie has used that line on more than one occasion. Was it in "Funny Money" that he coughs after puffing on the cigar and says that?

He does it in "Funny Money" and again in "A Woman's Work Is Never Done". Of course it wasn't scripted as you can tell by the look on Art and Audrey's face.
