View Full Version : Where else could you have seen them living?

The Kramdens and Nortons attempted to move out unsuccessfully on more than one occasion, and while nothing could possibly replace that run-down flat at 328 Chauncey Street, I still wonder what the show would have been like had they decided to stay at one of those other places. So what do you think? Where could you have seen them staying if you had to choose?

To refresh your memories on the places they attempted to live, there was:
-The apartment in Queens from "One Big Happy Family"
-The apartment in the Bronx from "Move Uptown"
-The house in Queens from "My Fair Landlord"
-The summer cottage from "Cottage For Sale"
-The apartment on Park Avenue from "Stand-In For Murder" (though they never would've ended up staying there had everything gone according to the gangsters plans, Ralph still thought they would be living there)

I personally would've liked to have seen what life would've been like in the apartment from "One Big Happy Family," with the Kramdens and Nortons sharing the bathroom and whatnot. Also, the house from "My Fair Landlord" had potential, I think it would've been interesting to see what the show would've been like in a more suburban setting, especially with those crazy fights going on in a quiet neighborhood like that.

The apartment from "One Big Happy Family"- I wish they would have stayed there for at least a few episodes. The possibilities for hilarious situations would have been endless if they had stayed.
"Cottage For Sale" would have been good. Those two guys living out in the woods with all those noises...would have been great! Also more chances for them to do more outdoor type of things (like the Camping epsiode) which -with those two- would of course be funny.

I would have loved to see them in the Park Avenue apartment just to see how Ralph would interact with the rich neighbors.

"Just wait till you see how much better this furniture looks in a Park Avenue apartment!" (or something like that).

Haha, I know what you mean, even in the short time they stayed there, they had so many classic moments...the sailboat, the big potato/small potato, Trixie being in the bathroom all the time. "She's in the water more than a flounder!"

Good choice. That place was a real dump though, they would've had to do more outdoor activities. I love how Ralph & Norton try to act like it's not that bad when the wives come in...that reminds me of "Brother-In-Law," when they bought that hotel in Jersey. I wonder how things would've been if they kept the hotel, with Norton as the bellhop, etc.

I loved when Ralph slipped in the tub and came out with the soap lmao "I don't wanna eat it!"

Could you imagine those two doing some hunting or something (Norton and Ralph with guns)!
I always kind of wondered about the hotel too. There's no way Ralph could have dealt with Norton and constant people checking in and out (especially the rude/stupid/or pushy ones) without losing it and of course we all LOVE when he loses it!
