Another One Bites the Dust by Queen comes to mind. Obviously, that song took inspiration and the bassline from Chic's Good Times. Listen to both songs and you can hear the influence. Good Times (1979) Another One Bites the Dust (1980)

What songs haven't used Good Times as their inspiration? LOL

I hear ya Kool. Something abt that song that really does just seem to be able to fit in abt any style of music.

I know there is a list of rap songs that have sampled, borrowed and pretty much relied on just abt every song out there.

Rap nowadays have lost it's creativity. Most of them have an old-school sample., losing it's originality.

I hear that. I love Kurtis Blow. Man, to this day I can hear his music because to me it was original. "The Breaks" and that other song, can't remember the title right now, but man, those are so damn good.

Rapper's Delight, although it sampled Good Times, I can still hear that song and not get tired of it.

Janet Jackson sampled The Supremes (Love Child) in "You Want This". That song jams.

Let's not even touch that Vanilla Ice crap. He denies he sampled Queen's song. He knows he did.

I heard one of suge knight's "homies" wrote the song and ICE stole it and now they wanna beat him up:lol:
Anyways
2pac songs:
-Starin' through the world in my rear view inspired by Phil colins song In the air tonight
-Changes I don't remember the original song it was taken from

The game:
Wouldne't get far: If you listen to the end he copies what tupac uses at the end of the song all about you

-Ashanti
-I think the song is called foolish and its inspired by the one more chance remix by notorious b.i.g.

I heard Vanilla say that one of Suge's thugs hung him over a railing. Then later on, he denied that occured. I wonder if one of Suge's thugs threatened Vanilla which is why he recanted that story. Hmmmm, never know.

Mariah Carey, I won't go into details but let's just say the old/original Mariah Carey is who I miss. She was original. She later sampled everything and hooked up with anyone she could make $$$$ off of.
