Forgot about "Cleo"...
"Cleo" was a "talking" basset hound from a show called "The People's Choice"... this show aired in the late 50s, but I remember seeing it in syndication in the very late 60s or very early 70s.
"Cleo" didn't actually speak of course, they would just show a close up of the dog and you could "hear" what the dog was thinking. Like they did with Buck on Married w/Children.

the most obvius one of course is Eddie on "Frasier".
Then there's Murray on "MAD ABOUT YOU", Duke and Claude on "THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES", and Mignon on "GREEN ACRES".

Dreyfuss on Empty Nest/The Golden Girls. He was a smart dog. I would've mentioned Comet and Chester if someone already hadn't. They were both good. Esp. Chester, the way he would bark and snarl at C.C. whenever she picked him up, and she was his owner! (Of course, he belonged to Fran in real life, hehe.)

Wow! We all missed that one! The King of ALL TV Pets! Fred and Doris' "son", Arnold.
There's also "Spot" from The Munsters, who lived under their staircase.

Comet from Full House was exactly who I thought of when I opened this thread. Let's see who else I can remember.
There's Eddie from Frasier, Murray from Mad About You, Marcel from Friends as well as the Chick and the Duck, Salem from Sabrina the Teenage Witch (he may not be a pet, but he was a cat), Happy from 7th Heaven, and I think that's all I can remember right now.

Darrin gave Samantha a Siamese cat (who was played by EM's real life pet cat) in the first season, and then we never see or hear of it again after that one episode!! :(

On 1st Christmas ep of Growing Pains, Ben got a puppy that was never seen again (I'm guessing it ended up in the pound or on the street like many pets given as Christmas gifts)

Didn't EM mention something that her cat ran away from the set or something like that?!

Lucky the cat (from ALF) has not been mentioned yet. I'd count Mr. Ed. Even though he was a human hand, would Thing (The Addams Family) count?
