Ok..so we all know that Ralph endlessly threatened Alice with physical violence but what about Ed? Trixie would beat him....and he'd have the bandages to prove it. Wouldn't that count as abuse? Omg imagine if it were Trixie and Ralph who were married. That'd be one heck of a fight!!

Trixie didn't have the patience of Alice.

I don't think Trixie liked Ralph either. They were hardly in the same scene in when they were, they got in each other's faces. Whenever a get rich sceme backfired, Trixie would always accuse Ralph of getting Ed mixed up in something.

You can say that again! I think Ralph was glad at that!

I think it would have been hilarious if Alice's mother (Ms. Gibson) was a live-in mother-in law. The fat jokes would have been nonstop. Can you imagine Ralph waking up in the middle of the night for a midnight snack, running into Ms. Gibson in the kitchen, and she starts up with it? Imagine the possibilities. Ralph goes to the ice box and there's nothing there, so he immediately wakes up Ms. Gibson and starts yelling at her accusing her of taking the leftovers.

You're so right! Some of the funniest moments where with his mother-in law. My favorite was
"Hello, Ralph."
"How'd you know it was me?"
"I could feel the floor sag." :brent

Or what if Ralph stumbles on to the kitchen and not remembering he's in the kitchen and thinks it's Alice and not her mother. :brent  puke:

...or, Ralph goes into the kitchen. He's tired and disoriented from a long day at work. He heads back to the wrong bedroom, gets into the bed with Ms. Gibson and starts cuddling...

Sort of like King of Queens, except in the Kramden apartment. Oh boy, the possibilities are endless...

My favorite line from the Mother-in-law was mentioned by Ralph during an arguement with Alice. He told Alice that her mother never likes him and that on their wedding day told everyone "I'm not losing a daughter, I'm gaining a ton".

That was classic.
