I don't seem to remember much special guest stars on the show. Only "Wallace" from Young At Heart and that dancer guy from Mama Loves Mambo(who was he anyway?) Was it that Gleason didn't want speacial guest stars on his show?!

There was also the Dorsey brothers and a few more that I can't think of right now.
I think Jackie wanted the show to be as realistic as possible and really big named people wouldn't normally be seen in the Nortons/Kramdens apartment building/bus stop/sewer/pool hall :p . And they really never went out to the type of places you'd run into celebs.

...unless, of course, it was to meet Jackie Gleason at the Raccoon's dance.

Yes of course...I had forgotten about that one! Alice lured him there with her pizza! Ralph also met Art Carney on that same day  Can't believe those two slipped my mind.

Yes! Can't believe I forgot about him too. "Well..." I remember watching him and Audrey looking at each other at the very end..and right before the credits come up they start laughing. He was a funny guy.

Exactly, maybe if the Kramdens and Nortons had been on vacation in Hollywood or somewhere like that there would've been more famous guests.
