The Doors, Chicago Transit Authority and Meet the Beatles--stand out in my mind.

Also, Elvis's Golden Records (I don't know if this was a debut album, because the title of it seems 'after the fact'.) However, this was the first 33rpm lp that we owned, and as I recall, very popular.
