LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Just as the big green ogre is about to storm into theaters with "Shrek the Third," the director of "Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo" is in negotiations to shoot the fourth installment.

Mike Mitchell will direct "Shrek 4" for DreamWorks Animation. He isn't a stranger to the world of animation, having directed a "SpongeBob SquarePants" episode this year.

Penned by Tim Sullivan, the fourth installment will chronicle the continuing adventures of Shrek and his buddies.

The "Shrek" series is a massive moneymaker for DreamWorks Animation. The first movie grossed $484.4 million worldwide, while the second one raked in $920.7 million. "Shrek the Third," directed by Chris Miller, opens May 18.

Most people would want to leave "Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo" off of their resume, but whatever floats your boat...

I can't wait to see the Third one, and I bet the Fourth one will be good to. How many do they plan to make?
