This is about movies that were based on true stories. Remember last winter's We Are Marshall? That was based on the story of Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, and the tragedy the school endured when the plane carrying the Thundering Herd football team, crashed, killing 75. This was trial and turbulation for a school football program that was revived through recruition of younger players. The school also showed its true character in the face of tragedy by crying out "We Are Marshall", during a gathering on campus. This was a powerful movie, but let's think about another event that happened in the seventies, namely the tornado super outbreak of 1974. A screenplay about this catastrophe was written by Christopher M. Dalton. It takes place in Louisville, Kentucky, where the tornadoes also hit. Here's a link to Dalton's screenplay:

This is a good screenplay, which is based on a true story, but here's some televised coverage of that very catastrophe:

That's not all, here's part 1 of Day of the Killer Tornadoes:

After some research, some Hollywood movie makers, who specialize in filming disaster movies, should consider taking Christopher Dalton's screenplay and make a feature film out of it. If that happens, they should consider casting actors like Tony Shalhoub, George Newbern, Jim Meskimen, Robert Carradine and Jackie Earle Haley, among others. If Hollywood makes a feature film out of the 1974 tornado super outbreak, whomever the studio is should give a lot of credit to Christopher Dalton for writing the screenplay, which is based on a true story. Dalton has a good screenplay, and Hollywood should at least, consider his written works. Please post your thoughts on this.
