I watched the Black Dahlia DVD yesterday and I thought it would be more about her life story. But the movie was more about the investigation and the detectives. It was still good but I was a little dissapointed. Has anyone else seen it?

I saw it and was also disappointed. I didn't really expect there to be that much about her life (even now, we really don't know that much about Elizabeth Short), but I thought it would be more interesting. I'm sorry, but it was boring. The ending was good, although extremely unlikely. Fiona Shaw is one of my favorite British actors, and she had a great part, so I liked it for that. I also thought it was strange that they never showed a picture of her dead body, considering that was the most famous thing about the poor girl. To quote Marilyn Monroe, "I hope they don't do that to me when I'm gone." :(

The movie was way too confusing and long. I fell asleep a couple times watching it.

I was looking forward to this film so much. More so than any other film last year and it was the most disappointing film I saw last year. Definately had the potential to be so good. The cast was outstanding. The director has made some great films. I don't know what happened or what went wrong but it just did not turn out right.

I completely agree. It had so much potential, but turned out to be one huge mess.

Its good to know that other people were disappointed in it too. I did like some parts of it but it wasn't what I expected.
