Have there ever been any shows that have had women characters that have been depicted as egotistical and/or self-centered?

I can think of a few:
Blair Warner from Facts of Life
Whatever Jami Gertz's character's name is from Square Pegs
Marcia Brady from Brady Bunch
I haven't seen this show in a long time but wasn't Laurie Partridge on the Partridge family a little self-centered as well???

Sue Ann Nivens and Phyllis Lindstrom - Mary Tyler Moore Show
Nellie Oleson - Little House on the Prairie
Harriet Oleson - Little House on the Prairie
Cassie Lynn - Family Matters
Vanessa Russell - Hanging with Mr. Cooper
Thalia Menninger - Many Loves of Dobie Gillis
Lisa Turtle - Saved by the Bell
Of course, Blair Warner takes the cake!!

The Square Pegs character played by Jami Gertz was Muffy Peterson.

I would have to say about the 2 biggest egotistical femal characters are Roseanne, and Murphy Brown.
Suzanne Sugarbaker (Designing Women) could be pretty egotistical.

Oh, and I forgot. I think Lucy Ricardo probably qualifies, even though I hate to admit it!

I think Lucy Ricardo was more delusional than egotistical, but I digress.

I agree. That is why I was reluctant to mention her. ILL is my favorite, but I have to admit that most of the things Lucy did was for her benefit (most often at the expense of others).
What do you think, Irene?
