A little something for you to read, maybe this is why he has lasted so long:
March 19, 2007
Is it because of call centres in India? DialIdol? Votefortheworst.com? Or is it all a big con by the show's producers to create more buzz? Speculation runs rampant about just exactly how Sanjaya Malakar has managed to stay in the running so far on American Idol, as he's clearly lacking in the talent displayed by even the worst of the other contestants.
Now it turns out radio shock jock Howard Stern has been encouraging all of his Sirius satellite radio listeners on The Howard Stern show to vote for the worst contenders in this season's American Idol, with Sanjaya Malakar first on the list. The self-proclaimed "King of All Media" Stern says Sanjaya is his "favorite contestant," and would like it if he won, precisely because Sanjaya is annoying and has no ability to sing.
How long do you think Sanjaya will last? Betting websites like bookmaker.com are listing him as the favourite to be voted off this week's American Idol, with bets on Sanjaya paying $155 for every $100. And Sanjaya himself is apparently not coping all that well with his "success" so far, as all this press and internet speculations is no secret from the Idol contestants themselves. While the seventeen-year-old is usually seen with a cheery smile on in public, TMZ reports that someone "close" to Sanjaya's family says that Sanjaya is devastated by the press's reactions, not to mention the boos of the audience and the vocal displeasure of the judges.
"He's so young and so sensitive, it's hard for him to go out on that stage and not have that devastation affect his performance."
Well, would he rather be voted off? He probably doesn't have to worry about having his feelings hurt by staying on for the wrong reasons for much longer. Even with Howard Stern's "support" he can't possibly last another week…can he?

Here is some more information. I just listened to Howard Stern's radio show and this website was being mentioned. They encourage their visitors to this site to vote for Sanjaya. Sounds like a conspiracy to me...

Researcher, we are not that lucky. Sanjaya will probably be around for another week or so. He is aweful though. I can't believe he`s made it this far. If he doesn't go home this week, that means he made it to the top 10!....Which also means I will feel very bad for all those people who plan on going to the Idol Tour this summer.

That call center thing cracks me UP!!!
We got brown pride, even though the boy can't sing, we're going to support him cause he's brown....lol!!!!!
I personally have stopped voting for Sanjaya, and never will again since Chris Richardson, one of my absolute favorites was in the bottom two this week. Plus, Stephanie Edwards did not deserve to go home.
Sanjaya can only go so far.

I agree. He seems like the sweetest guy ever and he doesn't deserve all this negative attention. Then again, it is a talent competition and he's not living up to that. =/
On the other hand, I love your signature. Murtle for life! :D

I think he knows by now that the public are voting for him for various reasons other than his singing.
With Howard Stern and his crew, not to mention some of his million listeners tying up those phone lines. I am not one of those because I don't watch AI, but hearing Howard first mention this Sanjaya situation and getting those to call up and vote for Sanjaya has made me curious as to what will happen.

You can see he looks really sad sometimes. I really do think he knows he's been made fun of a lot, and sometimes it looks like he really doesn't want to be there. Although last week, something in him changed. At least he opened up. I still feel bad for the guy.
A lot of people on the Idol Forums think his sister who didn't make it is being a "stage mom" or trying to deliberately sabotoge her brother's chances. She helped pick his song that really sucky week, remember?
