well...tonight is going decent so far. in this season though, a decent week is amazing considering how bad the season is. so for this season its amazing.

Haley - good, her best yet. i really liked her this week.
Chris R - good, one of his better ones.
Stephanie - wasn't really that good..at all.
Blake - one of his best yet.
LaKisha - ok, usually she's really good, but i thought she was bordering on disaster this week. it was just...bad. just my opinion.
Jordin - AWESOME. just...wow.
Phil - pretty good.
Sanjaya - this was...hilarious. :rofl: the vocal was bad, but at least it was a good performance. probably his best yet. not really saying much though. but that poor girl in the audience LOL..i couldnt help but laugh at the random shots of her. this was...interesting.
Gina - not her best, but it wasn't awful.

so far Jordin is definitley the best. Chris R, Blake, and Haley come next. then everyone else.

Melinda - as usual, really good. it was kind of different from her normal performance. i usually dont like divas, but i like her because she doesn't have that diVa attitude. good.

Melinda and Jordin were the best. yet again. but Chris R, Blake, and Haley were also really good.

LMAO...Sanjaya was so bad. but it was so bad it was good. i dont know, i just saw in the recaps and it made me laugh again.

A pretty good show, and a *great* theme!!!

Haley: Her best so far, perfect song for her, but the shaking was TOOOO much... can't deny that she has great legs though.

Chris R: IMO, his best so far as well. Not oversung, just really nice and controlled (a tad too nasal-BSBish for my taste though)

Stephanie: Ehhh. Talented girl but she can do better. Missing that spark/passion this week.

Blake: This performance completely turned me into a Blake fan!!! Fun, modern, and SO unique... I hope he goes really far, I look forward to what he's gonna come up with each week!

Lakisha: Obviously a phenomenal singer, but this wasn't her best. The last few seconds were incredible though. She needs to step it up though, because Melinda keeps on outshining her...

Phil: I was quite impressed. Fun song, and I thought he did well with it. After Simon's reaction though, he could be in trouble...

Jordin: YOU GO, GIRL!!! Simply amazing. Her best so far, IMO. I was in awe.

Sanjaya: LOLOLOL. By far his best to date... he still has to go, but I was DEFINITELY entertained!! I was *literally* crying with laughter at the girl.

Gina: I've seen enough... I hope she goes this week. Vocally blah and not even that entertaining...

Chris S: I like him a lot... not my favorite performance of his, but he did pretty well...

Melinda: Consistently FLAWLESS. My money's on this one.

Haley - Still cheesy as heck, but her performance wasn't bad. It was one of her better ones.

Chris R - Is it possible for me to love this guy even more? :drool: :biglove: Apparently it is. His best vocal to date. :thumbsup:

Stephanie - She's growing on me quite a bit. I love her contemporary R&B sound and she's such a classy girl. Sadly, this wasn't her best performance. Definitely pitchy in places. Not even halfway through the show, but I think she might be in the bottom 3 tomorrow.

Haley - Probably one of her better performances. I thought it was semi-good. It definitely wasn't bad.

Chris R - I have to admit that I never really cared for him before, but I really liked his performance tonight. He's really growing on me and he's turned me into a fan. He was my favorite tonight.

Stephanie - Definitely not one of her best. She went off key a lot.

Blake - Really nice job. I liked it.

LaKisha - Not one of her best. I really like her but this performance was not that good. It wasn't bad but she's done much better.

Jordin - Very nice. I liked her performance though she went off a couple times.

Phil - He's my favorite contestant this year but I really did not like this performance. I actually thought it was pretty bad. I hope I'm wrong but I think he might be in danger tomorrow.

Sanjaya - I don't think it was one of his better performances. It was entertaining but I thought the key was too low for him.

Gina - Ouch. She was really, really bad. She'll probably be in the bottom 3 tomorrow.

Chris S. - Pretty good.

Blake* He was okay. He's the only guy that I think deserves to be there. His beat*boxing is getting annoying though. He needs to find something else to do, to be different.

Haley- Cheesy and was obviously going for the sex appael. Since I'm a straight female, it didn't work for me.

Chris R.- I thought he sounded very nasally last night. I wasn't too impressed.

Stephanie- I expected better from her.

Blake- I got tired of the beatboxing. He reminds me too much of a boy band member.

Lakisha- Like Stephanie, I expected so much better of her last night. I thought her performance was awfully dull.

Phil- I love him, man! I hope he lasts awhile.

Jordin- Definitely one of my top three. She should go very far. What a voice!

Haley - That performance was...interesting. Way too teen girl-ish for me, even though she was dressed like a street walker.

Chris R - It was okay, but only that. He's not a very good singer, but a good performer, and that's what gets him votes/fans.

Stephanie - I thought it was a really good performace. I've never really understood exactly what Randy means by "pitchy," but I really don't care because I don't use the judges' critiques to form my own opinions. Really nice performance, but nothing tops her "Dangerously in Love" from a few weeks ago.

Blake - It was great, I think. I like that he didn't try to fool around with any elements of the song (coughChris S ****ed up Endless Love last weekcough).

LaKisha - I loved her performance for all of the reasons why the judges didn't like it. I loved the campy, over-the-top way she sang it in. It was really cool.

Phil - Eh. Eh eh eh. He made this song sound like some kind "come on, kids! sing along with Uncle Phil!" kind of thing. That final scream of the title ("Tobacco Road!") was straight out of a children's musical.

Jordin - Great performance. Her best so far.

Sanjaya - Wow. Wow. Wow. At least he opened up. I don't think that kid moved around the stage so much before last night. He did a good job in the performance category, but the vocals still lacked a bit. He finally ranked above some others though (coughPhil, who suckscough).

Gina - Wow. Will this chick scream every single song she sings? Does she not realize that not every song is hard and/or alternative rock and that she does not have to scream? I thought last week's "LOVE! CHILD!!!!! NEVER! MEANT TO BE!!!" was horrible, but wow, what was that? "PAINT! IT! BLACK!!!!!!" Go home, girly.

Well, as a Chris R fan, I was upset/shocked/nervous to see him in the bottom 2, especially after seeing him deliver one of his personal best performances and also one of the best performances of the night. I didn't get it at all. :(

Based on performances alone, I thought Steph was the right one to go (Average vocal, boring perf...even Sanjaya was more entertaining, LOL), but based on overall consistency, she definitely deserved to stay. I just realized how much I liked her. She had a great contemporary R&B vibe and she seemed really sweet and classy. I guess she just didn't stick out as much as other people did. Still sucks that she left this early though. It should've been either Haley or Sanjaya.
