Woo! Woo! I bought the Movie!

Hello fellow Space Cadets,
I am so excited! I just purchased the 2005 Honeymooners movie!
Below is a review I gave on the movie at a film discussion board on myspace:

Oh where to begin. It was a dark, dark day…I could spend more time trashing this movie then the time the movie played! Of course I never had high expectations for this movie because of the selected cast. Although they have been pretty good else where not here! This movie was not targeted towards Honeymooner fans, that for sure. God bless African Americans (sincerely), but are you kidding me!!!? Put that aside, then here we GO!

First of all, being a huge fan of THE REAL Honeymooners I figured I would have to go because it was released on my birthday. Man, whatta mistake that was! The actors could have done their homework! Didn't they ever watch the original show before getting the part?

This is definitely the dumbest movie that I ever saw! Even worse than "Run Lola Run"! I'm always looking for Honeymooner items on Google, eBay, etc. NOW every search I do has this terrible stuff on it. It has polluted the internet forever! I try to give bad reviews on it where ever I can find a chance. I have seriously been thinking about buying a copy of the DVD so I can BURN IT! This way I can take pictures of it melting away!

Jackie Gleason is surely rolling over in his grave! BANG! ZOOM! Speaking of which, he gets more laughs six feet under than this movie ever will ever get! For those of you who don't know, his grave has "AWAY WE GO" engraved on it. What a riot he was. LMAO!!!

If I had all the money in the world, the first thing I would do is hire someone to buy every piece of CRAP about this show! Then I would not burn it, because it has polluted the Earth enough, but I would ship all of it TO THE MOON!!

Well, the date is set and I will be going to Miami on Feb 23rd. I will be meeting my friend Ralphie boy that I met on myspace. We will be discussing The Honeymooners Convention that we are planning in June this year. We will celebrate the emancipation with the burning of this movie, as well as drinking an amusing bottle of grape juice. I will fill everyone in on the schedule dates and events once we have it all worked out. I don’t mean to keep harping on this movie thing, but I hate it as much as I love the real show. Please forgive me if I insulted anyone with my review, but I get so steamed when I think of this movie. I guess I’m just a mental case.

WAY TO GO PAL O' MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What else can be said other than this is going to be the awesome start to GREAT beginnings!... It's going to be a BRIGHT BRIGHT day!... and also with the flames that will light up the sky!...lmao!...

I am NOT a druggie AT ALL, and never even been high one time in my life, but I think we're even going to increase the benefits of our emancipation by inhaling and enjoying the fumes a little as this thing melts Away It Goes!... lol!... But what we are actually going to do is go out and "Buy the Best" cigars we can and then use the flames as it's burning to light our stogies up!... :groucho then, in the other hand, we will be :cheers: with our glasses of nice cold grape juice!... Yeah, I'd be pretty embarrassed if people looked at my purchased items and saw that I got it. :shockedEspecially after trashing it with a short review from the same listing. I wish more people would review these movies to deter fans from buying them. I know-I know-I know, sheesh, whatta grouch!

Woo! Woo! I just got the movie! Oh Baby! I can almost smell them there fumes now! And I lost my sense of smell workin down that sewer!:happyface

Woo! Woo! The emancipation was a total success! The movie went up in flames just as promised! Well, the box anyway. I decided to run the actual tape over in my 4X4 three times for good measure. We were able to salvage some of the tape which is in the process of being twisted into a pretezel by our youngest lodge member. I wish everyone could have been there. I had a little trouble getting the flames goin, so luckily my pop joined in, he he. He is known as Brother Sparky now, Lol! It was a bright-bright day! We did it just outside Jackie’s beautiful monument. We played the “How Sweet It is” album and lit our cigars from the flames. This was a day to remember! Woo! Woo! We will be posting a blog on myspace with the pictures of this joyous occasion. I tried to put one here, but it was too big. Oh Baby! How sweet it was!:groucho

All I gotta say is that those cigars tasted SOOO good after lighting them with the flames off the movie! And my 10 year old son got GREAT joy out of spitting on it (while he wore his Racoon hat) after you crushed it with your truck!... being so close, I could feel the ground shake as Jackie laughed a BIG "Hardee Har Har" in his grave!!!... OH BABY that was FUN!!!!... thanks for the memories Pal O' Mine!!! :happyface

The movie needs a new title. Thanks Hollywood you have just destroyed the concept of a TV Show that was one of my favorites. On the way of out of the theater people were bitching and asking if they could get their money back.

Idea....rename the movie it has nothing to do with the TV series.

Where is the feeling that you use to get after watching the honeymooners.

What happened to creating a movie that depicts the era that the original was filmed in.

What happened to casting? The characters in the new movie are nothing like the TV series.

This remake should be renamed or removed. Its a load of crap!

LOL, I've seen one person selling a copy for 1cent with no takers & they've tried to sell it 3-4 times!
Is it wrong that this brings a smile to my face :lol:. That & the fact that the REAL Honeymooners sell like crazy!

If you read the reviews, you will know which one is mine, he he. We all should try to give bad reviews when we can, may be they will stop selling them. If not,
May be we can get with Mrs. Gleason to purchase them all. Then Ralph and I can burn them all!
