Does anybody remember Real People with the team of Sarah Purcell, John Barbour, Bryon Allin and the late Skip Stevenson? Or its clones like Thats Incredible and The Wonderful World of People and the locay yet national PM Magazine? Even Bob Barker from TPIR hosted one of these clones, Thats my Line I think.

Though none of there were sitcoms some of their stories were quite funny and interesting. CBS Eye on People reran RP and TI as recently as 1999 but the channel changed hands and I dont even think the channel is still around.

Never forget the one Real People ep. where an entire town moved away but come back for a reunion or the contest to see which radio dj taked the fastest.

There were so many !!!

I hope to see them again. As a child of the 1980s, I used to love to watch Real People and That's Incredible. Remember do not try this at home

Matt Lauer, from the "Today" show, got his start on "PM Magazine" (the New York version) in the early 80's. It was on channel 5 at 7:30 p.m. M-F, after the cartoon "Battle of the Planets." The show went through many changes of hosts, and ended around 1987-ish when channel 5 was bought out by FOX. I remember "That's Incredible!" also. Interestingly. when "Live With Regis and Kathie Lee" was just a New York show (not seen around the country), Kathie Lee Gifford was always confused with Kathie Lee Crosby, who was a host on "That's Incredible!" It was sort of a inside joke, because neither of them looked or sounded anything alike. When Kathie Lee Gifford would go on vacation, it was usally Kathie Lee Crosby that would substitute for her on the show, so I guess that's where it all started....

I remember watching Real People on NBC. I vaguely remember That's Incredible on ABC until I had a channel called CBS Eye on People (later Discovery People). I've seen reruns of both "That's Incredible" and "Real People" on that cable channel.

I remember PM Magazine. Michael Stanley was one of the co-hosts here in the Cleveland market.

I remember all three shows. I never really cared for That's Incredible or Real People, although I liked Real People more. PM Magazine, I am the most fond of though. I have a hilarious story about that show. My best friend and I used to gawk over the host of the Dallas show. God, he was gorgeous. All I remember is that he had blond hair and we were in love with him!

One Saturday we found out that he was going to be at the local mall. Peter Bergman (then of All My Children) was the actual "star" but we only went to meet the host! Peter got up to talk and the host said "My wife really loves watching you on All My Children. My friend and I were horrified and looked at each other and yelled "He's married!" Of course this was broadcast on TV but I never found out if they showed us or not!

Yeah, I think he was! I know he was on some show, but for some reason I was thinking it was Carson.

Here's one from the wayback machine for you:
Those Amazing Animals hosted by Burgess Meredith, Priscilla Presley and Jim Stafford.
I'm thinking it was a Sunday from 7-8pm Eastern time show on ABC during the early 1980s.

I remember PM Magazine. I watched it a few times. Kathy Ireland
was on it twice (impossible to forget my favorite Sports Illustrated
swimsuit model). In the first segment, her leg was in a cast (from a skiing
accident). Yeah, glamorous people have accidents, too!
