I wish they would of offered Lucy Show, Petticoat Junction, Donna Reed and Mork & Mindy but eh ... lol.

It's about time it was updated, but if anyone has any doubts they don't listen to it ... they DO, considering Benson, 227, Night Court and MANY others were on that list and WERE added, so ...

TVJunkie101, you posted this list a while back, and this IS proof that they listened:

Here's all the shows they list:
227 (added to TV Land on 7/06)
7th Heaven
Amen
Benson (added to TV Land on 6/06)
Blossom
Designing Women (coming to Nick@Nite Fall 2006)
Diagnosis Murder
The Dukes of Hazzard
Empty Nest
Gilligan's Island
Gimme A Break
The Golden Girls
Good Times (currently on TV Land)
The Honeymooners
The Jeffersons (returns to TV Land 9/06)
Kate & Allie
Knight Rider (briefly aired on TV Land 7/06)
Laugh In
Little House on the Prairie (added to TV Land)
Mad About You (added to Nick@Nite)
Newsradio (added to Nick@Nite 8/06)
Night Court (added to TV Land in 2005)
One Day At A Time
Saturday Night Live
Star Trek (original) (coming to TV Land in late 2006)
Unsolved Mysteries
What's Happening (added to TV Land 11/05)

It'll be interesting to see which ones on the new list make it. Looks like they may be adding some more 60s programming if they acquire shows on that list like they did before.

Most of those shows I knew they were adding before they created that switchboad though, lol. So, all of us were voting for no reason really.

You know, ALL of these shows have aired on TV Land at one point except for Laugh-In, Lost in Space, ODAAT, and SNL.

More proof that they listen, or you can use these lists as an idea of what shows to expect. This was posted in April 2003 (by SBTB Geek), and look at everything on this list that came:

Coach (came to Nick@Nite in 2003?)
Sabrina The Teenage Witch
Roseanne (came to Nick@Nite in late 2003)
King of Queens
Good Times (came to TV Land July 2005)
Murphy Brown (came to Nick@Nite early 2005)
Spin City
Frasier
Bewitched (came to TV Land May 2003)
Hulk
Charles In Charge (came to Nick@Nite August 2002)
ALF (very brief run in late 2004 for Hit Talkshow)
Carol Burnett (came to TV Land January 2004)
Katie & Allie
Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (came to Nick@Nite in 2004)
Full House (came to Nick@Nite fall 2003)

I Dream of Jeannie (came to TV Land May 2003)
Soap (aired on TV Land in 2002-2003, don't remember dates)

When was the switchboard created?

Well, I'm glad to hear that TV Land listens to your requests, at least the US version, that is. TV Land Canada, however, is another matter. In its first couple of seasons it lived up to its billing and produced a lineup that was on par, if not better, than its US counterpart. At one point, there were so many good shows that some of them had to be alternated each month. If I remember correctly, it had series like these:

The Odd Couple
The Addams Family
My Three Sons
Car 54, Where Are You?
Gomer Pyle
The Brady Bunch

That's just a partial list. Not a bad foundation for a TV station to start with. However, after its 2nd or 3rd season, the channel was bought by the City/Chum group, which handles MuchMusic and about a zillion other channels all across Canada. Now when you tune in, you get Petticoat Junction, (stolen from DejaView---a rare coup), Happy Days, Batman, Mary Tyler Moore, Joanie Loves Chachi (a bit of a reach, if I may say so), a few dramas, many forgotten Canadian shows, and, in what has to be a new low for any channel, a new reality series starring Mr. T. called "I Pity The Fool".

Does this sound like the TV Land you want to watch? Is it worth spending extra money on a digital system in order to watch it? Is this the channel that I heard so many great things about that I was willing to buy an expensive satellite dish just to watch that one channel before finally deciding against it?

I've always believed that Canadians are not ones to take things lying down. If something isn't right, we take action. So here's what I'm proposing:

If you want to vote on the Switchboard, go ahead. However, if you are successful and your shows make it on the air, they will only air on TV Land USA. If you want to see those shows on TV Land Canada, go here instead:

This is where you can tell the suits exactly what you think of them and suggest the shows you want to see. Make your case a good one or else I'm afraid they won't listen. Let's see what effect this will have on future lineups. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

You know what *I'd* like to see picked up? The Price is Right. *Someone* needs to air it, and it'd be interesting to see how TV Land would treat the show.

I read somewhere that the general manager of GSN said that they've been wanting to bring reruns of the Price is Right back but Fremantle Media won't let anyone air reruns of it. He said basically they would be airing it right now if it wasn't for Fremantle.

LOL I'm in the same boat with you. Of course they'd treat it like crap, though. TVLand isn't responsible or caring enough to show a daytime show/five days a week show. They proved that with "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman" back in 2002.

An hour TPIR starting from the very beginning (when it was a half-hour) followed by an hour of "The Young and the Restless," also from the very beginning (when it was also a half-hour), would be a perfect early evening block. Perfect.

Actually, early on, I think TV Land aired the Best of SNL (or whatever those half-hour versions of the early episodes were called). Before that, it had aired on Nick-at-Nite.
