LOL-I took the Top 5 thing from ESPN Classic so I thought it would be fun to discuss why we should be thankful for TV Land. I will say that the Top 5 Reasons I feel TV Land is a great Network
Allowed Three's Company Fans to see the Extended Opening Credits of Three's Company
Allowed Three's Company Fans to see the Extended Opening Credits of the Ropers
Allowed Sitcom Fans to see the Short-lived TV show-"GRADY" in 2002
Allowed Sitcom Fans to see the Short-Lived T show Gloria in 2002
Does Weekend Marathons of TV shows when it's added to the Lineup.
So even though 2006 hasn't been that great, TV Land still had some Good Moments. Do you Think?-lol

I remember one weekend, TVLand aired every episode (34, I believe) of the short lived sitcom "Bob," starring Bob Newhart. I taped all the episodes. Unfortunately, the tapes no longer exist. That was some years ago, late 90s I think.
I also liked it when they aired the Fandemonium of Welcome Back, Kotter, because that allowed me to get every episode on tape.
TVLand has it's high moments. I just haven't seen too much of that lately.
I like the 48 hour marathons it has, or, well, had. Last year they had a lot of them that I watched like Threes Company and the Brady Bunch. I also got to see shows I've never seen before and liked like Good Times, What's Happening, and MASH. They removed the last two, though. MASH is ok but it wasn't something i'd see that often. I only watch it for Leave it to Beaver.

This wasn't a Thread about 2006, just a thread stating why you are thankful FOR TV LAND

Well I guess it depends on how you had the Network.
I'm thankful that there is a TV Land Canada for Canadians who love classic shows like I do to enjoy. However, like it's US counterpart, it too has gone downhill in terms of programming material and I don't see much room for improvement in the near future. I would rather recommend DejaView for those who are looking for a better alternative.

1. For airing Night Court for nearly a year so I could complete my dvd collection of it, knowing they would eventually remove it.
2. Bringing Three's Company back for a time and airing the tag scenes that I had never seen.
3. For dumping some of their dumber original programming.
4. For bringing back Wings for a time (this was 2005 though)
5. For airing Christmas eps of Night Court and Wings.
Yes, I have tunnel vision on those shows.
