You know in most sitcoms, there would be a dramatic moment, but when the audience laughs, you don't understand what was so funny about that? Here are examples:

In Charles In Charge(The Other Guy):

When both Charles and Mr. Pembroke are talking about who is right about letting Lila go, Mr. Pembroke goes on to say Lila is a little and that's a dangerous breed. The audience then laughs at that comment when it should have been silence throughout. I didn't find it as a joke at all.

Were there moments in sitcom history where the audience at even the most dramatic moments when it should not have been funny at all? Give examples, if you will.
