Is anyone else looking forward to this show? I found some clips from it here: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/armed_and_famous/

The basic premise is that Erik Estrada, La Toya Jackson, Trish Stratus, Jack Osbourne and Jason Acuna (wee-man from Jackass) train to be police officers I wonder if they will really issue a gun and badge at the end. I gotta see that.

I don't plan on watching it. For some reason, it just seems like a stretch to me. Maybe if they had all played cops in the past and the point was to show how hard it is in actually, it wouldn't be so bad.

I LOVED IT. Can't wait for next week's episode.

Yeah, casting seems like kind of a central issue for a show with this particular premise. Like you said, if they got a bunch of people with cop-show histories, or, like, what if they just got a bunch of really responsible, dependable, polite washed-up celebs (instead of a load of quirky trainwrecks)? Armed and Famous could potentially be a really important, culturally significant show. I dunno, maybe it will be, who knows?

What if they had an A-list Armed & Famous with like Brad Pitt and Jim Carrey and Julia Roberts? THAT would kill!

I especially like how Jack Osbourne seems to have matured. He sure is looking good in that uniform.

I wish Steven Soderbergh would make a movie that is a spoof of Armed & Famous (which itself is basically a spoof of Cops and maybe Reno 911), starring, yeah, Brad Pitt and those guys. It could cut to the core of what's wrong with the media (and consumers) in this country.

I especially like how Jack Osbourne seems to have matured. He sure is looking good in that uniform. He still looks like a pudgy kid to me, just slightly taller and thinner than before. But I do have to admit, in terms of attitude he definitely has grown up some. I also heard that at the closing ceremonies or whatever, the Muncie police chief actually offered him a real job.

It looked okay to me, but I missed the other episode that aired the next night.
