Hello everyone!

Too Bad every honeymooners sketch is not on dvd, I know it's a lot. Because The Honeymooners was taped and many of the jokes and even stories such as "six months to live" are recyled. What was the name of the first sketch and air date? did carney play a cop? How about first time's of norton/ trixie?

Thanks!

P.s. Hope I've been clear.

P.s. Hope I've been clear. On 10/05/51,the first-ever Honeymooners segment was introduced as a short sketch on Cavalcade of Stars. In the sketch, Ralf and Alice bicker over bread: Ralph wants it for dinner, but Alice says she doesn't eat it. Their ensuing argument escalates into Ralf heaving a bag of flour out the window, hitting a beat cop played by Art Carney. The cop enters the Kramdens' apartment coated from head to toe in white powder. Trixie and Norton came along shortly around that same year. The writers knew that the show couldn't survive with just Alice and Ralph. The first person to play Trixe was an actress by the name of Elaine Stritch, who had done a television pilot with Gleason and Pat Harrington called Two a Day, was hired for the role...and promptly fired after only one sketch. Apperntly she had came on too strong in the role of Trixie, too much like Gleason. Art always played Norton ever since the charcter came into exsitace way back in the day in 1951.

The name of the first sketch was "Bread" it aired on 10/5/51. Yep, Art played a cop. Norton & Trixie first appeared on the sketch "New Television Set (10/12/51)" that was when Elaine Stritch played Trixie. Joyce Randolph's first appearance as Trixie was on the sketch called "Ring Salesman (12/7/1951)."
Here's a really good link about those sketches.
